hi guys,
just wondering about the saga flx 1.6 se and the preve (non turbo) engine.
both are using the same iafm+ campro engines right?
but i'm looking at the spec of both cars fuel consumption and surprisingly..
the saga flx se has a fuel consumption @ 90km/h (1/100km) at 6.7 while the preve is at 5.8.
both using using cvt and is suppopsely the same engine..campro iafm+
i thought the saga is suppose to have a better fuel consumption due to the body to power weight ratio?
any sifu here can explain.

QUOTE(dares @ Oct 18 2012, 11:08 AM) 1st thing is, the IAFM+ engine on the Preve maybe tuned differently. Lower fuel consumption possibly means less power. 2nd thing, NEVER trust the FC figures from the manufacturer. i see..but if you say less power on the preve, the spec shows the same hp and nm which is 108 hp and 150 nm for both preve and saga se. what i'm surprise is the huge difference in fuel consumption for both the preve and saga se. i'm expecting the saga to have a better fc as its much lighther..but its not. anyway like you mention..maybe we should not trust fully the fc figures from the manufacturer.. thanks for the explanation..

thanks guys for the answers on the preve and saga se fc.
i thought at first the heavier preve wil have a higher fc..but was abit surprise that the lighther saga has a higher fc.
after reading the opinions here, i guess there are many factors as to why a same engine in a different car might have a different fc.
