15" should give u a nice balance of budget and performance. Lots of choices for tyres from entry-level to performance for 15".

well, replica china or taiwan are relatively the same as they are replicas afterall. 15" should be priced around 800 for brand new replicas. Original brand new rims will set you back double that price or more.

Check out advanti rims as last time i checked they are priced slightly more expensive than replicas but the quality is quite good. Design varies by shop so check them out.

go for 15...

cheaper tyres cheaper rims, less painful when masuk potholes, 50 - 55 profile the best balance i think.

and... your brakes will not appear too puny. big gap between the rim circumference and your brakes = fail

upgrade to 15" is the best. looks decent, rides comfortable and u wont feel too much under-powered compare to the original 14". more tyres to choose from too.
dont go any higher unless u really dont mind poorer FC, poorer braking, poorer pickup.

Tyre shop of course wants to take as much money as they can so never really trust what they suggest! For Myvi just go for 15 cuz it's only a very small city car with small engine & low power. If you use 16 or bigger, your car will get even slower and more over it will consume more fuel and make your braking longer. Get the lightest 15 you can afford (a good one should be around 5kg per wheel) and at least those made in Taiwan if you cannot afford original Japan ones.

just compare with one type of tyre

Micheling PS3

195/55/15 - RM250
205/55/16 - RM520
215/55/17 - RM590
205/40/17 - So far didnt find this spec on michelin tyre

if for myvi, is suggest

For cheaper tyre and good performance but comfort wise is low (sound a but noisy)

Falken ze ziex 912

195/55/15 - RM200
205/55/16 - RM290
215/55/17 - RM330
205/40/17 - RM300 - fitted myvi

please, if got money dont buy other model of falken other than Falken Ziex 912 and Falken PT 722..in my experience with falken, only this 2 modal is nice to use and nice to drive.

and unfortunate Falken PT722 the lowest spec is 205/55/16..no spec for 15inch

PLs go for 195/55r15 tyre enough... 15" already good. Myvi is not design to take on 17" tyre.

Bro,
Nowadays not many taiwan-made rims already, mostly is china-made.. if an original Japan-made rim(best in rims), 16" also priced above 4k i also got see in my dealer shop. Damn light...
But china made nowadays all is replica. just to expose some info, last time we sell 15" rim to dealer also around 500+ only, so u do the calculation. u wont see much original rim unless u go search at those Pro-shop...
