so, while i was a kid, guitar gods were my idols (still now). playing guitar is super cool to me, the metal riff and licks makes me high! so, there goes, me bought cheap guitar and start to learn to play, no teacher of course.

i consider i'm a bit talented, that i can easily pick up my "personal" lessons, and my finger are long and smooth they said. years later, i play guitar on and off, into some bands that i can't really fit in, because i love metal while ppl around me prefer alternatives and modern rocks. and study holds me from playing as much..

as i grew up, i learned that to be a good guitarist is not easy. Seeing a good guitarist to play on stage is so cool and i dreamed to play such, but to be it, it is not so cool.. its actually a real pain in the ass! improvising is something that i will easily give up upon. finger practices, scales, playing with metronome, try to improve speed, it all just pain. i never had someone to teach me personally, all learning comes from internet and videos. hell i can play A7X and Lamb of God songs, but it is not quite enjoyable, as it gives me a bit of stress trying to cope with it. so, i put down my guitar, saying, hey, maybe this is not for me, i can't be good in this..

that was several years ago..

this new year, i stared at my old guitar, which i bought during Uni time. i did not take good care of it.. remembering the good times (while my working life is really not enjoyable), i decided to pick it up again and clean it, restring and tuned.. then i put on some finger practice, hey my fingers still works.

then today, i read this thread, i make up my mind, i should go to guitar lessons/school.. yes, very true, maybe i lack the fundamentals.. i learn and play based on tablatures, but hell i don't know most of the cords i'm playing..

and yeah... but where do i go? biggrin.gif any good guitar school around cheras with good guitar teacher? and at what level should i start with?

Music always in my heart. tongue.gif

Cheers
