just finish download the star epaper into my Tab 7.7 and quickly flip thru it but still can't find Maxis Note II ads. Celcom is absent too. What the hell are they thinking?

btw, anyone who is on unexpired Note I contract, sign up new contract for new Note II contract? Does DiGi allow to extend contract or they still practise the stupid >>terminate contract>>pay penalty>>sign new contract policy.

btw, i think no one ask this till now - Is the Note II screen completely flat like Note I or is it curvy at the edge like S3? I have been assuming it is curvy like the S3 but just read Note II thread at a Spore forum, it seems like Note II is having a completely flat surface like Note. Flat screen is good to apply full screen SP.

yes, first thing if you have problem copying file via the usb cable is to use back the original Samsung USB cable to test whether it is cable problem. Those cheapo USB cable can spoil easily - even though they still can be use to charge but may have problem to sync data. I keep my Samsung USB cable in box, using other USB cable to use daily.

nope, Maxis offered Note months later, only DiGi and Celcom offer Note bundle during Note's launching. But since SoyaCincau.com mention all 3 telcos are launching Note II together, dun see why Maxis will not offer Note II. Celcom at least has a ROI now but Maxis totally no news/info.

i think nothing is confirmed until the actual sales date on 19 Oct. Someone mentioned "insider news" that a flipcase will be FOC but dunno how true is that. I will appreciate a free flipcase if there is no ready third party case is available at the time of launching. But since now it is pretty easy to grab one of the garage, i dun find a flipcase a must especially if its quality is as bad as the free original flipcase of the Note. It just spoilt after 2-3 months of usage. I will just dump it inside my drawer and give it to the buyer when i want to sell it eventually.

not much resources need to be deployed - just post the offer at the web site and do an advert in the newspaper, let the customers go their centre to sign up and collect. I dun mind they do not have a roadshow.

Since iPhones has its hardcore fans to support the sales, not much offers need to sweeten the deal, can offer more goodies to promote Note II.

think thrice before you buy it if it cost more than RM100. Check the quality first. If it is the same quality as Note's flipcase, dun buy it. Any third party case like SGP/Zenus/etc will just trash it.

like many others has commented - it all depends on their coverage at your area. No matter how we like a particular telco, if their coverage is poor in your area, it is not relevant to you.

As my existing contract with DiGi (signed up for Note last year) only expires on Nov 10, need to pay some penalty. But i consider paying the penalty ok this time, compared to last year - I need to pay the "penalty" to terminate my DiGi contract (signed up for Desire HD) which was expiring in 10 days, just to be able to sign up the new contract for Note. We should be able to extend the contract like what Maxis offers. It is this policy that make me swear that i will leave DiGi once my contract with them expires this year.

you mean how much is the penalty this year, compared to previous year? Both are RM100++. There is a formula to calculate:

((Phone RRP - DiGi offer price)/contract period)) x no. of month remaining + RM100 admin cost

*contract period in months.

Example for this year:

((RM2,299-RM1,799)/12) x 1 + RM100 = RM141.67 (this is the exact amount i paid early this month when doing my MNP)

this one i am not so sure - coz last year i paid for RM100 + 1 month even though there is 10 days until expiry of the contract. This year i also paid RM100+1 month but there is actually about 39 days remaining until expiry.

no choice, not possible to wait until November 10.

that one with telcos plan for sure. No contract price is SGD998 (about RM2,530) if i am not mistaken.

wow... must seriously consider getting it if by this Friday Maxis not giving good offer. But will wait for grey though.

at least celcom has ROI at their web site now, Maxis has nothing at all. Maxis did not have a roadshow in JB for S3, only available thru their branch and some dealers.

so far i think nothing. Even the ad by DiGi on last Friday The Star only stated Pre-order at their web site, din mention got roadshow. Finger-crosse more info will be released in the coming few days before Friday.

haha.. if KL doesn't have any, for sure JB won't have any too. If Maxis does not offer Note II at good price by this Friday, I will delete this thread from my bookmark and refrain myself from visiting this poisonous sub-forum for 1 month or 2, wait till the price of AP 32GB grey to drop close to RM2k, then only buy.
