I wonder if Apple have resolved their infamous home button issue. And darn why can't Apple make home button replacing much more easier rather than having have to take out all the parts?
*
Well, if you've seen the iPhone 5 Teardown, the home button is not only being made more durable, but also easier to be replaced.

Well I certainly have not seen any teardown yet. I'll check them out later. It's good to know though. It would be so pointless if the home button still has the same problem. Only time will tell whether they are more durable. It took about almost 2 years for my home button on my iPhone 4 to have the insensitivity issue, since I took good care of the home button very well in the first 6 months, avoiding hitting the home button as much as possible. haha. Yeah, that's me.

Search on what? It's not even a question. I'm directing it to Apple. Not you, mind you. No need to be acting you're some kind of pro here man. Don't answer it if you don't bother to. Thank you.

And the reason why I am so fed up with the home button installation it's because I needed to tear down a GD whole freaking iphone 4s just to replace the home button.  vmad.gif

Just wanna let you know the good news is that they are now using different bracketing on the home button for iPhone 5. Plus, self-repairing an iPhone 5 is now super easier than ever, even much easier to access the components compared to some other phones in the market. Replacing cracked screen will also become simpler, since its display assembly is the first part to be taken off in the teardown.

Check the teardown on ifixit and you'll be instantly tempted. Should be the easiest iPhone to repair DIY-style.

the poll will be a bit bias since it is posted in iphone section. smile.gif

Hence the poll is actually pointless.

So better the tered kolos, since this kind of tered potentially become another kopitiam or flamebaiting thread. Seriously.

but you still can see the votes still undeniable which people are getting switch to android.

asked my friend what is new i5 difference (with my hand hold her iphone 5. she said, erm erm erm..( she need to think longer then decide to buy which fast food menu)

not even say with the half of the polls goes to note 2 .
*
Ask an average Android user on what's the difference between Note and Note 2.

You'll get the very same reaction on erm erm erm (need to think longer than decide which fast food menu).

Most of them do also agree that Note 2 is just a long version of Note. Yup, that's right folks. Funny thing is that last time uninformed people are also saying the very same thing for iPhone 4S - iPhone 5 comparison.

Well, my point is that, people can just say anything, but that's not necessarily accurate. Even missed the mark most of time. So that's inappropriate as an arguement though. No need to have a hostile way of thinking.

Or maybe, next time you want to argue why choose a van over a small lorry. Both got 4 tyres too.

Its people interest to buy iphone 5... Their money cause they want experience on it... Not all ppl want GN2.. And not all ppl want iphone 5.... Its their money what they want or which their choose to buy...

Agreed on that. If everybody's alike then we just need one type of phone, computer and automobile.

Different people, different preference.

Already traumatised by maxis billshock cry.gif never intended to go on that route again.

But then again, it's up to personal preference. Taking me myself as an example, one's experience may not translate well to other people. Not just your experience on Droids, even mine on iOS included cool2.gif . Btw, no need to be detail on how you're using either platform and switched to and fro, now and then. In fact, I'm using both platforms as well.

i don't think ip5 and note 2 is targetting different market. if u look at the "venn diagram", there are the "wanna ip5" group, "wanna note 2" group, and the overlap of these 2 is the "both are good for me" group. this thread is dedicated for the latter group. as for the poll, is just to see the sentiements of people's preferences. but i agree this poll is done at the wrong place. ts is either intellectually challenged, or just not geniune about his query. i am sure is the latter.
*
I agree on how the groups of prospective buyers can be, on how they do favor both. Adding not just upgrades, but also people who are switchers from other platforms prior (eg: Symbian), the group can be the biggest bunch compared to the other two. But then, I'm saying that the situation may have changed a lot this year. For the latter, an S3 is also thrown into the mix. This is due to that its display size is already of Note-class of the last years', and this is going to be the major bulletpoint being revisited time and again until they have a decision.

About your thought regarding the poll, I also tend to agree. The play becomes so repetitive, that I afraid lots of them are going forward to be kopitiam-class threads. Funnily enough, the players seem to be posting them with so much innocence. And of course by design, that attracts the not-so-unobvious trolls, mostly intentionally.

i went to a phone shop and try out iphone 5. Look sleek, slim and light. My disappointment were:
1) Doesn't look impressive compare to my iphone4/note 2. No WOW factor.
2) Map is big failure, can't even search for bukit jalil. klcc is located at putrajaya. pavillion is located beside hospital serdang. fuhh. What map is it.
3) The screen itself is a big let down. Yellowish tint to the screen. Contrast/brightness not comparable to note 2.
4) Camera so so only compare to note 2 about the same.
5) OS. hahaha i4, i4s all same interface. Nothing special about it.

Those who would like to upgrade from 4 or 4s to 5 better think twice.
*
1) People say beauty is in the eye of beholder. But just for the sake of playing your game, I'd say Note 2 is just an elongated Note. No wow factor. (See what I did there?)

2) Lies. Pavilion is located correctly on the iOS 6 Maps.

3) Have fun with the not-so-non-Pentile screen of Note 2. Also, DisplayMate rates iPhone 5 screen as the best smartphone screen they've tested to date.

4) iPhone 5 camera comes with f/2.4 aperture compared to the f/2.6 on Note 2. There are differences, especially for low-light uses.

5) OS. Fast, functional, stable, apps compatibility & optimization. That's far important. I'm not going to lie, getting different interface is all the rage with me for my Android device last time. Finally I'm settled with its stock UI. Eventually you want everything to just works, right?

Those who wanna upgrade to Note 2 also better think twice. In fact, it's very smart and the best thing to do for everybody no matter for which platform. Evaluate your planned upgrade really thorough, and weigh your decision based on what you've researched.

Also, both devices got their own strength. Those what I've lined up above are just comments for the very inaccurate 5 points being listed prior. Not that I'm implying that the device itself doesn't have its own upper hand on other parts or inferior anyway. Just doing some correction btw.

Lol, so true! People can say this or that, either on how either one is not that good, but frequently those can even be so deviating from the hard truth.

Super fun.

Added on October 22, 2012, 12:58 amI'd say there's a reason why this kind of useless poll is posted here. It's so ironic, the only place I've seen these occurences are on Kopitiam and iPhone forums. Most do grasp the pattern here.

Before anyone misunderstood me, I'm not saying this thread useless due to either products are. Comparing two devices that targetting very different market, that's the funny thing. Apples and oranges here. Both are good stuff in their own way.

Some may say of ulterior motives involved, but I won't venture there. You see, this kind of useless poll surfaced often when something new from Sammy is arriving here. And suddenly the thread gone inactive in just mere weeks. Pretty much deja vu of lotsa previous polling thread that most of time ended up into troll fight and hostility. That doesn't happen often with products from other companies in here.

Well, maybe I'm just stating the obvious. But then, I just want to say this to the ones involved, "well played, sir!".

also agree. recalls no intensive trolling on AppleByte when last time Nexus 7 and One series got launched here.

funny business nontheless.

Hence, that proves my point and some others from the very beginning,

that this pole is so much useless.

From what I can see, this pole is obviously made for the not-so-good intention. Go figure.

Stop contributing junk posts that adds up nothing to the discussion, just to increase your postcount.

Well, I'd say iPhone thread is quite attractive even to others due to above reason.
