For grocer. The whole kv needs higher end concept rather than just those hyper concept. All I c is big size retailers r suffering but the high end small size ones doin beta.

Tesco Ara dead liao lo. Sales is moving sibeh the slow. Whereas not far away the Jaya at empire subang is doin vely well.

To me, if I wanna hav gd fruits for example, I ll buy the fresh n nice ones in higher end grocer than those bad quality ones in Tesco. Of cos can say Tesco doesn't hav the nice ones but if u und how their supplier chain works then I bet u wouldn't wanna waste a single cent there.

Retails is having a tough time but smaller size high end ones ll do well. Above wat v can say surviving. Tesco so damn big but the yr end lipot is like cowdung.

So its stil not saturated for high end grocers but hopefully gov ll stop giving permit for hypermarkets.

Boss hero Mart is high end grocer. Hero hyper is low end grocer. Jason same class as hero Mart in term of groceries but not wine n butcher. Jason has beta varieties than hero Mart when come to those 2 mentioned.

Many not aware la cos hero is more famous on big size market.

But honestly in recent yr hero n jaya both hav done well. Maybe bcos they hav the experience in previous giant.

Village even it's fr otk they r not doin impressive. Presto definitely out. Ben's is top class. Jason or Mercator or cold storage too commercialised. Many of those mini giant express aeon big express Tesco express can shao gong.

Mydin 1 Malai worst. Selling cheapest possible products to con gov aka con rakyats moolah oso la.

So in the next few yrs do expect many high end grocer to boom. The cycle can last another 6-8 yrs b4 sthg or new concept hav to take over.
