QUOTE(-Franc- @ Aug 27 2011, 10:14 PM) hye guys im going to thailand next week this is my first time travel to thailand its advisable too exchange RM to Bath at Malaysia or Thailand? if at Malaysia, where is the best place to exchange? and exchange directly to Bath or USD first? thanks in advance! You should just change your RM to Baht in malaysia before departing. However, i've heard that the exchange rate is so much better in the Thailand. But for me, I usually change all my currencies in KL before departing.

QUOTE(-Franc- @ Aug 28 2011, 11:39 AM) ops, sorry. its Baht anyway thanks for the answer where is the best place to exchange the RM in KL? Alot of the forummers always go to wawasan. If not mistaken it's in midvalley?? Not so sure. I always change it at the place near my office in shah alam, else if the bank my sister works has the currency note, will get her to change it.

Bear in mind rate changes everday, sometimes morning this rate and afternoon another rate.
I changed in Pyramid last Sat at 2.85.

QUOTE(bl@ze @ Aug 26 2013, 03:27 PM) Hi guys, I'm going to UK in Nov and I want to know is it better to change MYR to GBP now with local banks or in UK? Thinking of exchanging RM8000-10000. Worried about travelling with a lot of cash though..any alternatives? It's better to change in Malaysia because, banks in UK might not want to accept MYR. Unless if you want to change half to USD and half to pound. You could either change about 1000pounds and then the rest, just use your credit card. Best for the cash to be used on transportation/food. Any shopping should just use card - or if you buy stuff at supermarkets.
