i have change USD for few hundreds (intention is to change to Rubble later in Russia). I changed based on my expected expenses plus another 50%, and I put my ATM and CC as backup. Today I was thinking to change more (USD) and not sure worth it or not as backup. If let say I changed to USD and not use it, is it possible to change back to RM without too much lose

Please be aware that some country doesn't accept old USD notes and also dirty notes. Please beware. No writing or marking on the notes will be the best. Ignore what the money changer people say, insist on the new and clean notes.

Yeah your are rite. Indo they want clean note and dont accept letter start with C for usd100note.

If travel to Camodia or Viet better bring small usd note.

Changed b4 and request new note without mark. They said limited. Usually usd from Arab country they will put mark or chop.

1.00 USD  =  6.41000 MMK
US Dollar    Burmese Kyat

This is the official exchange rate. Whatever you do, DO NOT change your money at the Yangon airport unless you want to commit Hara-Kiri later.

I feel weird cuz whenever I pay usd in US, the cashier will take a marker and mark the dollar note. Any reason in why they are doing that?

You should just change your RM to Baht in malaysia before departing. However, i've heard that the exchange rate is so much better in the Thailand.

But for me, I usually change all my currencies in KL before departing.

Alot of the forummers always go to wawasan. If not mistaken it's in midvalley?? Not so sure.

I always change it at the place near my office in shah alam, else if the bank my sister works has the currency note, will get her to change it.

Yes, wawasan in Mid Valley has one of the best rates. Some said the ones in Masjid Jamek is better but I'm not sure which one.

better change the money here in malaysia, got better xchange rate.
euro is around 4.2x~4.3x in malaysia but in holland the rate is 4.6x~4.7x.

though, if u withdraw from atm, for example using maybank card
cost rm12 per withdrawal n it follow maybank exchange rate.
