I just bought my AUD$ on Wesak Day and got pretty good rate ($1= 3.208) at Best Rate. It's lower than Wawasan (3.215) (which I use to compare with others). Anyway, they don't negotiate for a much lower price.Best is to call around to compare before you go. Wouldn't want to carry big bulk of money and go around asking.

hi all, want to ask a newbie question here.
i changed some sterling pounds earlier, counted it but never checked it properly. after that i found out that i got 2 50 pounds banknotes and there are inks on it (blue pen - some numbers), any idea if i could still use it or i should send it to a bank in the UK? thanks

Doesn't matter. Some money changers tend to put some mark on the notes, maybe to prevent fraud. As long as it's not destroyed, should be ok.

If you can't find it, just change ti US$ 1st & once reach there convert to Russian curency. No point getting here. You might find one but due to lack of demand & etc, the money changer will not change at market rate but up to his wanting
