So far that's the only money changer publishing the rate. I strongly think they are Wawasan! If yopu mean those money changers outside BB Plazas, there are atleast 5-6 of them surrounding and outside the complex. Just check one by one.. No specific one al;l very competitive

it seems that wawasan sentosa money changer, charge a rate of 2.86 for KRW, guess it would be the same if change in Penang here. i guess

29/9/11 that's the last Wawasan in business before they facing some licensing problem wth Authority. Right now, the exact spot Wawasan vacated mths ago and now money master biggrin.gif

I was there this Morning.. Seem like business rather quiet there compare to MV money changer at the corner. Both displayed the same Korean won i.e 2.83 so do the one inside NZ magazine store.

since i am in Penang now, i have searched through various shopping mall near Komtar area, and have found that the money changer at ground floor of Prangin mall should be the cheapest of all I asked around that area. the name for the money changer is Cairns Multirade sdn bhd which sell KRW in only 2.80 ( should be the most cheapest in the town, but more importantly, it is even cheaper than the one in Midvalley.) smile.gif

as i remember my friend told me that nowadays KRW rate is rising, and without a doubt, after knowing that it is 2.80 selling, i buy it for RM1500 because I guess it is nearly impossible to get a < 2.80 in current time. wink.gif

Heard from my friends said that if we withdraw money in south korea, the currency rates plus the service charge imposed will be still more worthy compared to when we change it here in Malaysia.

Eg: Maybank charge a RM12 service charge while other banks such as standard chartered charge RM5 , citibank is the best as it does not charge any extra fees.

anyone can clarify that?

SGD just went up to 2.50 +/- range.

You can try Working in Singapore thread and ask them for COD at JB/SG. Get middle rate buy/sell, win-win for both. Assuming rate does not fluctuate too much between this and next week.

Change here. Rate in MV is about 10.15 BUY now.
I exchange nearby KLCC at 10.17 BUY since I'm around here.

assuming the rate doesn't move, you will ALWAYS lose money. Otherwise how the money changers make money? They are operating a business not a charity icon_idea.gif
