U need an external dongle but need to jailbreak. Might as well sell the WiFi model off and buy a cellular model instead. Hassle to jailbreak and carry another extra power sapping dongle.

TOpic closed. THere is no dedicated GPS chip in WIfi ONLY iPad but you will still be able to use the map apps and some navigation apps when you r connected to the internet.
