Hello there fellow people of the xbox subforums! I would like to ask if this controller is a genuine product?

hard to tell just from a pic
but seems genuine if compared to the ori wireless packaging

Usually fake product will have some typo error esp. on the Names. You may observe that

its fake , easy to spot .. at the packaging on top of the left it should write wireless controller , not just controller

The controller is wired.

Cannot really tell unless the package is open and we can see the details of the controller...The fake one probably would not have sticker and have different labels than the original..

This is an image from Amazon.com which shows slightly different wording on the box since it's for US release.



So it's most probably a genuine controller.

TS, you brought that controller? if it is no point asking dy just use it and fingers cross it won't burn your console or die when you're having your climax XD

hard to say from the pic bro, region product may be different from other, and they do change time to time the packaging.

The best way to know is to feel the gamepad plastic, original always smooth and soft. Fake feels very differently and cheap.
Also there is a hologram sticker of microsoft i believe somewhere behind the gamepad (or was it top?)?

No there is no hologram sticker for the gamepad, but a serial number with bar code blocking the last screw at the back

I can't tell the difference.. I have one from a modded console and one from unmodded console...all wireless. I noticed that the modded one has like Microsoft word at the charging area. The real one has XBOX 360 on it. So, yeah.

then what about XBox controller sold in ALL IT, (i've saw it in All IT, Digital Mall PJ), it looked like a fake, but i can't tell it.

how much you bought ? i saw somewhere game store exactly like this wired around RM100-120 the honest shop owner told me is fake set .

problem is that those fake controller cost as much as a official controller. also quality wise its nearly the same. so spotting fake in just plain view is quite difficult.
