I think Blizz will not give easy loots in RoS at the beginning of the stage. This is to ensure longevity of the game.
If Loot 2.0 doesn't give good loots, we'll be stuck in low MP of RoS like Barb stuck @ Inferno when this game 1st introduced.

Blizz will certainly set a higher difficulty as there will be lv70 gears.
I believe our current MP10 gears will probably be the entry level gears that can only play "MP2-3" in RoS.
If I downgrade gears + the loot sucks ball (for the interest of longevity), I will be stuck for a long long time @ MP0 in RoS.
I expect higher quality loots at higher MP.

I'm looking forward to CM/Archon hybrid build in RoS.

Tested with Chantodo's set with 18apoc during lunch break.
Damage is good.

I reckon better with LS black weapon as you gain insane life recovery from high damage.
Need to pair with Storm Crow, perhaps.
Will lose HP/EHP/IAS with Storm Crow.
Probably the best source is Triumvirate as black weapon is used.

Viable build. Will look into this.

P/S Not quite doable @ Ghom MP10 for my build. Still need more testings
P/S Update # 2 . Doable @ Ghom with 3-piece apoc sources. Total 28 apoc. Still need more testings. Could be my noobie skills.
P/S Update # 3. Test runs @ A1 MP10. Using 2-piece and 3-piece apoc setup, 3 piece apoc is better. You'll have drop of IAS/EHP/paper dps but it can still kill pretty fast as there is huge damage from the meteor. I believe 2-piece is doable. Need more test runs & practices.
P/S Update # 4. Made 2 runs @ A1 MP10. MI > EB.

Tested meteor/Liquefy. Nice skill.
It can replace WW in normal farming. Good and viable skill.
For normal farming, meteor/Liquefy is good enough.

But it is no good @ MP10 Ghom test. Still can't replace WW.
I tried replace WW with Liquefy, arcane generation was too slow for my build, even tried it with 3 apoc gears.
HP drained fast too. (with 2.86 attack speed, 850+ LOH & 1.5% LS)

I think that depends on whether Blizz is going to nerf passive/crit mass or not.
If Blizz nerf crit mass, both archon and CM, or CM/archon hybrid, will be gone.

I think I'll take datamine with a pinch of salt.

I concurred. Too much work for CM and many other builds.

Archon is the best lazy-mode farming machine. RF build DH is equally good.
I'm now doing lazy mode farming for XP and doing less-spamming of keyboards.

Grabbed this today with buy-out price 11m. Good price and great gear.
Tested this in Archon mode and elites just melted easily.

Blizz nerfed it even before the launch of the game.

The introduction of new skills for Wiz.

It is very simple. You need to keep your Archon permanently, just like WoTB Barb.

IMO, it is a lot easier to keep the perma Archon than perma WoTB.
This is because it depends on how many & how fast you kill the the mobs.
For "every enemy killed adds 1 seconds to the duration of Archon".
Therefore it's something you can control (as compared to Barb's WoTB that relies on the frequency of crits).

Now, in order to kill fast, you need to have certain level of DPS.
To do MP10, you need at least 450K DPS (fully buffed). 500K gives you an easy life aka lazy mode.
So, try increase your DPS for now.

Drop passive skill/cold blooded. As you don't use cold skill in archon mode.
I'd suggest to use blur. It gives you more defense, that could save you from explosion of fatso or elites.
Alternatively, you can use Galvanizing Ward to have a longer duration of your armor spell.
For your current state, you are lacking of DPS and EHP (prioritize your DPS).

Archon build is a lazy-man build. You don't need much knowledge about archon.

For your case, you've got decent EHP. What's lacking is only the DPS. Try to increase your DPS.
Kill the mobs fast give you perma archon. Kill the elites fast indirectly give you survivability.

However, it is absolutely doable @ MP10. But you need to do it in co-op game.
2 ways of doing it.
Firstly, join the multiplayer game with players that can give you DPS buff (i.e. MoC Monk, CM Wiz etc).
Secondly, join the multiplayer game with high DPS players. As long as your other team members can help to kill the mobs fast, you get your additional duration to your archon.

About handling the elites, frozen-skilled elites are certainly the No.1 enemy for archon. You need to skip the ice bombs, there's no other way. This is why some people suggest teleport archon.
I believe damage reflection elites could be the No.2 enemy for you. It's either you increase your defensive attributes (minimum unbuffed 3200Armor / unbuffed 850AR / 2.9% LS) or use magic weapon/blood magic (at least 4% LS).
For vortex, if the elite draws you to the middle of 4-stack fire + poison + in the eye of laser + elite's explosion, it's all fate and it's not a shame to die in such circumstance. Just a note, passive skill/blur could save from elite's explosion. It comes in handy.
For nightmare, it's not much an issue generally. For fire/poison/lightning/mortar, you need to position yourself.

IMO, defensive attribute (armor/AR) is important in high MP.
Let me give you a scenario, if you have high defensive attributes, you can just stand in the 4-stack fire + poison like rambo.
Well, if you don't have high defensive attributes, you just need to reposition yourself from deadly elemental attacks.

In short, Deckard Cain and dreaming, you need to increase DPS.
Once you hit the right DPS, farming will be very easy.
