btw i dont really find the agent watch that nice for some reason..
(actually not bad la..but the idea of having to buy another wireless charger to use it turns me off greatly)

According to the kickstarter page, the reason they used wireless charging is so that they can make the Agent watch waterproof. I think that is important to me. I am not sure if Pebble is water proof since it has a microUSB slot.

Really? Then looks like Pebble is a better choice compare to the Agent because it is made for iOS and Android. But the Agent smart watch is more 'classy' because of the leather strap. It will be useful for a office environment where as Pebble seems like a informal wear.

yeah, but the agent smartwatch looked really professional, imo. I am very tempted to back them up.. and if you read, they do have a lot more technologies (eg really low power consumption, better developer support kit, etc) than Pebble.

How big is the Pebble size on a Asian slim hand? Is it oversize? Any photos on your hand, hawk98?

ihawk98, that looks too big for your wrist. Maybe it is the close up shot. I find that the Agent Smart Watch is more attractive as it is square shape, not rectangle that the Pebble is aiming for.

Mine had similar tracking status. Left Singapore on 12 June. Today 18 June and it's awaiting custom inspection. Why does it take 6 days to ship from Singapore to KL? Sigh!

Not at all. The reason being the animations are really, really quick and snappy.

The killer app for me is timeline and notifications. I used to glance at my phone religiously. Now I can be 20 ft from my phone, the Pebble buzzes, I glance at the WhatsApp message, dismiss it or do a quick voice reply (the speech to text engine is awesome) and get on with my day. Upcoming meetings just appear, so do alerts from Google Keep. Battery life is also spectacular. I'm only now charging again after 3 days. Not having to worry about the battery makes me feel free.

So I have been using a normal watch all these years and I am pretty excited about the Pebble Time.
How plasticky does it look? Will it look good at work - business casual wear?

Also, with hundreds of WhatsApp notification, does it bother you when the watch keep on vibrate? I mean sometimes, with the phone in the pocket, you can't feel it so it doesn't annoy as much. But I would imagine it will be annoying on the wrist. If you turn it off also cannot coz you need it.

I agree that it won't win any timepiece award and I didn't care if it looked ugly but the statement by the other guy on it looking like a kid toy concern me as a working person. Hmm, probably I should have chosen the Steel.

so I am using the PT today. Awesome watch. But it is too plasticky so I am not sure how long it will last. And Gorilla Glass, hope it's solid and scratch resistant.

A few questions:
when charging, can I use the iPhone charger plug?

Also, it doesn't seem very bright. Maybe that is e-ink. Do you all keep the backlight on? Maybe that is the reason some of your battery drained faster?

I wish that the notification window can be maximised the screen real estate. The green bar of whatsapp is a waste of space, so is the name of the app. Removing those allow me to see more text. Is it configurable?

Yeah, outdoor under the sun, it worked remarkably well. Very nice to look at. Indoor, in an office environment, it's pretty dim.

After using for a day, I hope they will improve the way Notification is displayed. There's just too much wasted space and Whatsapp messages are pushed to next page. I can only read maybe one line because it will display app name+person who sent you message+whatsapp group.

I have logged a feature request in Pebble page.

Now people keep asking me "is that Apple Watch?" and I just nod and say yes. Too lazy to explain until they say "hey it's not! tell me what this is"

Anyway, this is the best watchface IMO: Squared 3.0

I have received my order from Slickwraps and the installation was very swift.

Just to share with you all on the Slickwraps product, basically the metal one looks great and won't have fingerprint issue on the bezel.

This photo below is only bezel with Slickwraps Metal look

[attachmentid=4533140]

This one below is with both Slickwraps bezel and screen protectors

[attachmentid=4533141]

The 1 set from Slickwraps came with
- 1 bezel wrap
- 4 screen protectors
- 2 sets of "3" buttons, 6 pcs of Home button
- 1 bottle of Naked Juice for installation use

Now they have discount 40% with the code "FIREWORKS" until 6th July.

I will highly recommend DIN Time too. That is one really good watch face and is highly legible.
