How long does it take for your Pebble to arrive here in Malaysia using normal postage?
*
Sorry can't answer that. For the pebble time, I received the tracking number after I received the pebble. smile.gif

For pebble time steel, I didn't receive any tracking number.

I think if you order directly now, it may take 2 to 3 weeks.

Well. Pebble is a pretty small company. I guess their major market is not China. I'm glad that a kind soul like Kuro works on this disadvantage and provided a solution.

I just ordered my pebble time! Can't wait for it. smile.gif
Wanna swim with it. Though I saw some people saying that their pebble damaged in the water.  rclxub.gif
*
Don't think it is advisable to swim with it. Hand wash and some water splashing is ok.

Thanks for the tips! If the parcel doesn't arrive, will Pebble send in another one? shocking.gif
*
Yes. Pebble will send replacement.

My Kickstarter pebble time was missing in the post. Shown pebble support the tracking info and they sent out a replacement. Really great service.

Using Pebble Classic, Android (Nexus 5) with Pebble Time app v3.8.1, with firmware v3.8.2. However, whenver I try to load the .pbl file, I get a "installing %s" , and then a failed "Error installing language. Please check your bluetooth and internet connection and try again "

As photo:

Any idea how I can install the .pbl? I tried resetting the Pebble but it didn't help.
*
i faced same issue. maybe the size of the file to be installed. i tried the chinese languahe file and it is more than 1MB

How did you know? Did you try some other smaller files and succeed?
*
Just tried another file. It works fine. Maybe you can factory reset your watch and try again..

I went around a mall in Penang trying to find a replacement strap but no one seems to have them for the Pebble. One helpful sales person suggested buying online and also at Fossil outlets. Apparently she had bought one from Fossil for another watch.
*
Anyone 22mm strap should work fine. Not possible to find Pebble branded straps in watch shop. Otherwise, Internet is the best way to go.

Update # 8 : a lot of backers are not happy about this. In fact more people seem to want them to improve on the water resistant aspect of the device. So they may put the money into improving this rather than giving everyone a free charger.

Oh .... ya. Didn't see the latest posting. Improved water resistance sounds great. smile.gif

Shit, the new reduced price and add in 10% first time order discount makes it very tempting indeed to get the time... damn poison...
*
It is probably a fantastic time to buy. The price is very tempting.. smile.gif

Been using Pebble OG, and now Pebble Time Steel. It is my everyday watch and can't go back to normal watches anymore.

Tried Android wear, Sony watch, etc. In the end, always gone back to Pebble. brows.gif

If I want ro buy do you think pebble time is much better than pebble original? Pebble orginal is just 99 usd while time is 149 usd. Both look plasticky.

Pebble time steel look nice but too expensive at 249usd.
*
Do go for pebble time. It is for more future proof reason. biggrin.gif

How strong is the plastic against crack? I know that it's not good against sctratch but I can get things like pebble wrap.
*
I don't have any experience with Pebble time. I'm using PT steel version.

It should be tough enough. Just take care of scratches and I think you will be fine.

But it looks more professional. At least less toy like. biggrin.gif
The area I'm worrying about is the plastic where it meet the spring bars. I'm not worried at knock impact much. But If somehow the watch or straps get pulled, will it breake the plastic area there.
*
My pebble OG has been with me for a few years already. I changed straps from time to time. The plastic has held on well. So I guess you should have no problem with the pebble time.

Hi. Just want to share an experience of setting up Pebble on iOS. Seems like there is a bug that keeps asking you to put your watch to recovery mode. This happens on my iPhone 5s and no issue on another iPhone 6.

Anyway, if you encounter this issue, choose Pebble round as your device and it should work fine.

First gen pebbles use the standard 22mm watch strap. you can approach any watch shop to buy a new strap and get them to replace it for you.
*
Maybe you should try online. The straps sold in watch shops are generally a bit more pricy.

Maybe members here can share which watch shops you can get great deals? Cheers.

Nope, as still like my Pebble Time.
Having a bigger display or heart rate monitor doesnt attract me to get a new one, as the current one is doing just fine
Having higer resolution? I dont think that will make any difference with E-Paper display sweat.gif
Design of the Pebble Time 2 also the same a current one, so not attracted to get it
*
Totally agreeable to your points. The higher resolution looks nice as a bigger screen warrants more reading area. But don't think you would read more on watch as the phone is probably just in your side pocket.

I would get an Apple Watch next time. 😁
