When you said GOTY Contender the first game come to mind is bioshock: infinite,

but after look at the link it's tomb raider, i don't have it yet, maybe some time in the future but based on people's feedback and review,

it seems that Crystal Dynamics really nailed it. It's a good reboot and i think it's going to get better in future.

This is quite hard to answer question, whether rebooting a game/franchise is a good or a bad things in the gaming industry,

I personally thought that making new IP is still the best, rebooting any game/franchise is never hurt. Maybe the concern here is hardcore fans that

adhere to the originality of a franchise and hate it to be change. Like tomb raider is being praised as a good reboot for the franchise but as DmC got different mix feedback from

gamers, mainly because they change how's Dante look's & personality. This is going to split the fan base to 'old' and 'new' Dante.



As the game i wanted a reboot or at least a sequel or new game.....is Baldur's gate series or Icewind Dale

Based on your review seems that you not very fond of fps? so what genre you usually play then?

your comment on the game play is just 'ok' and decent. Meaning that you rarely play fps?

Have to admit that the fps is in the 'genre fatigue' type game, so the industry need to have fresh new game play mechanics to keep people interested.

p/s:...and next major gaming news is that, the new call of duty ghost just been announced.

as for the game itself, me myself have not play it yet, but the art direction does look superb

it's been a lot of talk and hate towards X1, me personally wanted to have a 360 and just waiting for the 'next' gen and hopes that it has backward compatibility so i can get through all the 360 exclusive library and the next box.

sometimes people like to just have a simple things, you know, just put some disc and play games. Not going to the crap DRM or online or whatever. Just like google and yahoo. Se how many people like google because of the simplistic design rather than yahoo that filling every news/ads/trending in one page.

anyway, it's just a rant, happy gaming...

I never had a chance to play Bioshock infinite, but for me TLOU is a mighty damn fine game. People keep comparing it with Bioshock infinite because they both
a strong contender in GOTY title.

I finish the game first time on hard and disable listening mode. For me listening mode is gamebreaking and destroy the immersion of the
game. Just keep your eyes peeled and your ear sharp and you survive. Funny people says that how resources are scarce, i never had that problem. In hard i only use
handgun & bow. stealth all the way.

In the end, all of the resources i accumulate is wasted because i never use it .

is it in a watery tunnel where there is tons of clickers and bloaters?

i use distraction, throw a bottle and crouch away.

reason why i choose bow is because you can recover the arrow and use it again, Pretty useful.

you seems to be furious at this, but i think LR will do just fine even in the mist of next gen hype. They both kinda different in genre

and fanbase, so it's still going to sell. Who the hell doesn't wanna play with lightning with those sexy outfit?

But my biggest game next year will be DARK SOULS 2, i think it will be the last great game on this gen yet. I bet every game is going

to be 'the last great game' on the current gen.
