One of Singapore's most well-known geomancers is embroiled in a court battle with his mistress of 23 years over two properties worth more than $2.5 million.
Better known as Master Hui Jie, Goh Chuen Meng, 47, of Hui Master International Geomancy is trying to prevent Ms Lim Sor Bee, 41, from selling a condominium unit he claims to own.
Shin Min Daily News reported that the fengshui master claimed that Ms Lim, who is also the director of his geomancy company, was also trying to sell a Telok Kurau condominium unit he owned.
Both properties are registered under Ms Lim's name.
He also claims that he had paid for the properties but registered them under Ms Lim's name, after she suggested that he do so to avoid having to include the properties among matrimonial assets to be split in case he has a divorce with his wife.
Ms Lim, however, claims that she had forked out $760,000 for the condominium unit in 2007, and $1.98 million for the terraced house in 2010.
She also claims that Mr Goh had willingly helped to pay for part of the properties as "love gifts" to her to provide security for her future.
Married since 1988, Mr Goh reportedly started an affair with Ms Lim, who was his personal assistant, a year after he got married.
He and his Thai wife have a son and a daughter together.
He also told the court that he had initially wanted a divorce but changed his mind after his wife got pregnant.
Fengshui master in ugly battle with mistress over $2.5m property

A WELL-KNOWN fengshui master here has taken his mistress to court over two private properties worth a total of more than $2.5 million.
Geomancer Goh Chuen Meng of Hui Master International Geomancy, who goes by the title Master Hui Jie, is seeking a High Court injunction against Ms Lim Sor Bee, who is also a director of his company, to prevent her from selling a condominium unit at Telok Kurau.
Mr Goh, 47, claimed in court documents that Ms Lim, 41, was in the process of selling a terraced house belonging to him, also located in the Telok Kurau area, said Chinese evening daily Shin Min.
According to court documents, Mr Goh claimed that it was Ms Lim's idea to put both properties in her name, even though he had paid for them. This was so that, in the event of a divorce, the properties would not count towards matrimonial assets to be divided up.
Mr Goh has been married since 1988 to a Thai wife, with whom he has a son and a daughter. He said in court documents that he started an intimate relationship with Ms Lim, who was his private secretary then, a year after he got married.
While he initially thought about divorcing his wife, he dropped the idea after she got pregnant, he added.
But Ms Lim disagreed with his claims over the homes and said she was the true owner of both properties. She said she had paid $760,000 in 2007 for the condominium unit, and another $1.98 million in 2010 for the terraced house.
While Mr Goh had helped pay for part of the properties, they should be considered "love gifts", as he had told her the properties would ensure she would not have to worry about her finances in the future.
She also accused Mr Goh of being a bigamist, as they had held a wedding dinner at a hotel here in 1999 - with her family in attendance - and had even taken wedding pictures together.
Mr Goh, who set up his fengshui consultancy in 1986, is known to be a geomancer to celebrities and artistes here. He is a regular contributor of zodiac and fengshui advice to the Chinese newspapers, and has also appeared on television.
