oh ya i died alot i change all my gear to fix my AR. then only concentrate IAS+DEX

my helm, ammy, bracer n rings still very noob.
arcane as long as i dont stand on the pivot point, can tahan..
i also tipu wan.. when arcane come close i spam deadly reach skill (keen eye rune) so not that pain..

7ss is a must have for me also.. can use to escape if locked by mobs, and when u cast 7ss, u're invisible to damage.
i rotate 7ss and serenity when im in a pinch.

how much do u think i need to invest (in gold) to upgrade my monk?
to decent state, not godly state..

yeap i took that advice of urs, i changed my passive to combination strike.. not sure if that is the cause i died on SB ytd or it's with the lag issue.
desperately need to upgrade my monk

my monk lacks dps and a bit more defence to be able to go mp8-mp9 comfortably. that is somewhere i want my monk to achieve.

probably spending like up to 300-400mill is understandable.
by godly i mean i dont hope to upgrade a piece of gear which cost 300mill each.

noted, should i aim for Inna's set?

so i see main problem is AR and the life steal
i've tried to stack as much IAS but the dps doesn't really go beyond 40k unbuffed.
im guessing next upgrade is CC%

Well to be honest if you want to tank...take a shield with 2x resisit + armor + Vit in your inventory. I have a really nice shield for ooo...shhhheeeeet crazy afflixes. 20% block chance, 74 AR +26 Poison res, 54 Str, 85 Dex, 176 Vit, 315 Armor + 7% CC. Absolutely glorious when I want to tank... Only down side of shield is that you lose 15% ASI but if as long you are still 2 hits per sec with some decent LoH (LoH would be preferable since your dps takes a big dip if swiiching over to shields) ust spam MOC while standing there. block chance not so great but...the reason you getting the shiled is to buff the armor/res..not for the block chance (its a bonus for me)

I agree with quaza that transendence would be better when shielding as you will spam MoC/boH/Blind to push your dps..or MoE..to really make you tough as a diamond..

also a char with above stats but at least 900 LOH 2.5 LS....and with a 100+DPS + a SHIELD (>30% block) also can do MP7 above very well in tanking...im talking about my char actually..

yes if u look into my profile ull see is a 83K++DPS unbuffed..but do remember im a  MOC - Overawe type...after blazing wrath i got a 95K DPS buffed + 24% MOC-overawe passive (already break the 100K dps)...not adding additional 40% DPS on spamming mantra... LS works wonders on high DPS...

my point is....u can go shield (but pls..use a high block % one) thus can lower the amount of LOH + LS abit...with high DPS set-up..

im the tanker of my group...we can do mp7 efficiently..

p/s: still waiting for my goods to sell to buy Witching Hour....aiming to breach the 90K++ DPS mark..with a shield..

7k armor? Buffed or not?If not thats a lot of armor meaning almost all gears have +armor afflix in return meaning $$$ with 1.1k AR can be done..been there but the dps takes such a big hit..you get pretty bored trying to kill white mobs at MP5-6.

I can only tank siege/SK with a shield in MP8. Ghom is a joke as long as you have Loh/LS.

however you need high LoH/LS, no? what we're all saying is that, with a shield, you do not need high LoH/LS.

Monk can do away the shield because monk can have 7K armor + 1.1K AR without the shield.
So, shield is not needed.

If you use shield, you have one lesser LOH/LS gear, which is essential in tanking.

atk speed also produce baby tornadoes fast le. lol..  have 2.4 atk speed now.

actually i think monk should play a 2 hander n fist only...judging from the char design in the first place...the monk background in our bnet profile also i holding a stick..

interested in playing a 2 hander..but yeah...my attack speed is just 1.85...and quite low on armor....so i let my dream aside first...

still collecting money to change my current ice climber to a +armor ice climber...i saw on AH there is 200 +armor affixes on these shoes selling..since this is the most cheapest upgrade...

also still looking if there is any glove that have DEX, AR-60, AIS-8%, CC-9%,CD-48%..currently none..    

even with high att speed, i tried using skorn, the dmg boost is unimaginable.
but because my gears only have LoH and no LS, sometimes it's quite painful in high MP.

also the main thing is since im so used to the speed, once i used skorn, even considered fast also no feel the syokness already .. ahahaha

4k hp vs 60resist bt dps remains unchanged.

Choose hp then I gt 41k hp bt resist is 640
Choose resist then I gt 35k hp bt resist 700

Which 1 is better? Opinion pls

3.0 LS and 500++ LOH. dps arnd 118k unbuff with scoundrel 3cr.

Thx Aleune, I will test it again see if 640 resist wun get owned so bad. Both setups still nid minima kite whenever encounter with elite mobs with molten and arcane.

Btw, just share with u guys. During encounter with frozen elite, press ur mantra at the time the frozen bomb explodes, u will nt gt frozen. Personally I tested few times and u jt nid to master the timing.
