is pointless. its still disappointing because the OS is still not mature yet.

I have nokia n8 with 12MP and Nokia 808 pureview 41MP getting another WP phone wont like a must get.

Even i get a WP handset it will still be my 2nd phone. It cant be the 1st phone

When the OS is mature u think microsoft still gona use Nokia to make phone? IMO no, they will took their tech and make their own phone & let Nokia die there.

While other brand manufacturer focus on manufacturing the phone and do some tweaking on top of the OS to brand the look and feature to their name. The base is still android.

Same like Windows phone.

Apple focus on one niche apps and OS that makes them on top of market share.

microsoft are actually paying nokia millions so they will use win8.
but in the long run, it is nokia who will actually lose out.

microsoft can easily go make a phone, anytime, anyday, with all the money they got.
but why do that, when they can partner with an established brand like nokia and leverage windows 8 instead of struggling to get a microsoft-branded phone recognition?

it shows how professional you are. When you try to twist it needs skill dont twist blindly. Just because they try out microsoft surface it doesn not means they will rule the market MR. professional.

Just saw the nokia 1020 product intro.

camera+ rich audio+ highly adjustable cam features+ optical stabilisation + growing apps OS + other windows apps like office, oh and making calls, I think this phone will turn nokia around.

And for quite sure I will get one.

Btw the accessory will also solve one of the most troublesome problem in pureview 808 - tripod mount.

I am sold.

Nokia need to sell at least 10-15 million units if they need to turn around with just one phone

they need to focus more on Lumia 1020. no more new products, or else it will be outdated for just 6 months. 925 already became the victim for this but i think for its thickness and awesome build quality, people would still buy it because many people didn't not care much about the manual settings. just a great auto snapped picture is enough

i think for a normal user they might prefer 925 since its lighter n much thinner

true true, hari hari u open newspaper ady u will see samseng promote all models they have, u watch movie u see samsung S4, watch TV see samseng, read magazine see samseng, go FB got samseng...

nokia only once a while appear in newspaper, i dun rmbr seeing nokia in TV or cinema...

The last Nokia adv in TV i can rmb is Nokia N8.. That's all about it.

IMHO everything is good on 1020 EXCEPT window OS.

But the main problem is Nokia is stubborn-ness. If they have opted Android as ONE OF THEIR Smartphone OS, they may not have lost to Samseng. Why must they go SINGLE PATH, only use Windows Phone OS, and it isn't even UNIQUE only for Nokia, others can also have it.

Why does Nokia Fall? How does Samseng rise?
Where is majority of Samseng customers from? They're not born out of no where, it's the switch.
Nokia is indirectly contributing to Samseng's success.

Nokia is like "PaiKia" (in Hokkien means Gangster)
While Samsung becomes Samseng. So, the era of PaiKia has passed, it has lost to Samseng Kia
