Done. Edited. I'm outta here. I'd like to return to a relatively unscathed experienced when I'm done with Ingress, hence this giving some portion of shit about my sig. For now, Ingress is everything. My presence here? Meh.

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Feb 12 2013, 12:55 AM) Sample. But this is from Nokia Lumia 920, but I was trying to simulate chest height and hangheld level of shooting. I got my GoPro at the time, but it wasn't updated to the newer firmware, so I cant record at 2.7l and 4k res, so I ditched it and use that chance to test the capabilities of the Lumia 920. Result speaks for itself. Video taken at Cars Land, Disney California Adventure, Disneyland, Anaheim. This one tests the night time low light capability of Lumia 920. Shot at the Mad Tea Party show, Disney California Adventure, Disneyland, Anaheim. Yes, Disney serves alcohol. This event was guarded with Disney cast members in plain clothes. In case folks imbibe too much and had to be escorted out. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Feb 12 2013, 06:21 PM |

Two good options for The Moon theme for Duck Tales Remastered. They better not fcuk around with my childhood nostalgia, so these two are the best (depending on mood I'm in) for the game.
EPIC arrangement: ROCK-IT-OUT arrangement: Either way, please keep the musical arrangement close enough, Capcom! |

Leaving Tokyo for LAX now. With Jon Sandersen's arrangement of "The Moon Theme" and this version, I've just found out, playing in my head. As you would've guessed, I'm still ecstatic over Duck Tales Remastered.
Disregard the obligatory rock-out. |

QUOTE(Kyoyagami @ Mar 26 2013, 09:49 AM) Welcome to the best version of the game. These days I'm playing PC version unless it's console exclusive. When that is inevitable (had to play its only version a.k.a console), I had to keep myself from eye-vomiting and rolling mah eyes at the subpar graphics. ![]() |

Crysis 3 is the current stresser. Crysis 1 is still hard on your PC, so that's valid too. Crysis 2? Console material. Not even worth it.

![]() In PC gaming, you go BIG or you go home. Going half-way = better get console, not much difference to justify building a gaming rig. This post has been edited by stringfellow: Apr 1 2013, 09:51 AM |

Eh. I use Alienware also, doth that maketh moi a noob-eth? I like neon lights done tastefully, with shapely aggresive Alienware casing. Me no like boxy case with a window. So plain. Dull. Boring.
Did not pay for this at retail price of RM16k. Only paid RM11k for the maxed-out specs it held 3 years ago. How I know it has paid itself off? The CPU I paid for 3 years ago, is still relevant and competes well with current Ivy Bridge hexacores now. |

My backlogs are mainly due to that. No motivation to play boring graphics games. Simple graphics out of design choice is fine by me. (Example, Borderlands and GTAIV). Purposely choosing to be cutesy when GPUs these days are so much more capable than that, is a sin. You're encouraging game devs to be lazy instead of pushing the envelope further. Otherwise people would still be playing games employing backgrounds in 2D plane with rotating sprites. Tech limitation called, they want their time machine back, that was 25-30 years ago. |

QUOTE(emino @ Apr 1 2013, 11:00 AM) Well, aku tamau tengok all the clogged pores, in-grown hair and nose hair with super realistic graphics. The reason people sometimes plays video game is to enter fantasy world and escape the harshness of reality. Realistic graphics != jeragat and tahi lalat. Examples? Look at Tomb Raider 2013 and Crysis 3. Immersion and being transported in-game requires a certain level of realism in the medium being played. I don't want to play Uncharted 3 or The Last of Us if the game employs graphics like Luigi's Mansion. The grittiness/seriousness of the narrative only works if the graphics realism matches it. Similarly, I don't want Crysis 3 level graphics in games like SimCity and The Sim, micromanagement style games draws the attention of the player via the micromanaging details of the game, not its level of realistic graphics. Btw I thought people should play most game for the gameplay anyway, not the realistic graphics? I rather developers use their resources in making the game fun and exciting rather than making us able to see their tahik lalat and jerawat jeragat. But even so, there are cases where enhanced graphics of what was once cutesy games with cutesy graphics benefits from the improved graphical facelift. Otherwise why are we seeing Ocarina of Time remakes in HD? And the clamoring for that Zelda HD demo seen on E3 is enough to say that realism works. When the narrative gets serious and tech has caught up with what you can do with it, remaining cutesy and cuddly is a copout, a lazy effort. QUOTE(andrewcha @ Apr 1 2013, 11:01 AM) You have to admit, that jpg has a point. Which is why console games rely heavily of story lines, narratives and gameplay because they're shortchanged in terms of brute graphical strengths. But PC Master Race folks don't have to choose, we get the best of both worlds. Unless the game is console exclusive that is. If that's the case, investing in a console isn't much of a big deal it's only a fraction of the cost of building a rig playing games at MAX settings. Think of it this way:
PC = studio master copy of a movie. At 4K lossless quality. Consoles = depending on strength, a DVD(Wii) or a Blu-ray copy(PS3/4/XB360/720/WiiU). Sure, you can still enjoy a movie even if it's in DVD format, the message does not get lost even watching at low fidelity. But those who know there are better versions out there, seeks out studio master copies irregardless of how pricey the endeavor is. Especially if the movie is a visual masterpiece like Avatar, etc. The creator of the movie ideally wants his movie to be enjoyed the best way possible, and that means, at the highest quality available. But not everyone shares his enthusiasm, or have the financial freedom to invest in quality playback devices that can play his movie at the highest quality possible. For him to be able to reach the widest audience possible, guess what? He had to relent and allow his movies to be downsampled into DVD format, that's where the widest audience is. Movies like TimeScapes in 4K resolutions are the epitome of visual masterpieces and quality, but it means jack shit to the audience who neither has the moolah to fork out for it, or the moolah to play it back on 4K screen.
