certain clarks stores stock the desert boot...but imo they are not really for use in hot weather countries like malaysia...i had a pair and have had enough of them...the rubber crepe soles are like sponges that absorb dirt...and they melt when walking on hot roads..after a year have to replace the soles...

Any Clarks stores that have Clarks original would have it. Buy the leather ones as it is comfortable. I wore it for 6 straight days during my holidays abroad walking kilometres after kilometres , and they were as comfortable as they can be.

QUOTE(Dar1en @ Oct 9 2012, 05:24 PM) i could get them overseas but im afraid of the sizing. anyone know any outlets that stock on the desert boot? particularly in the beeswax colour. Hi Dar1en,Go get em' at Clarks store that carry the ORIGINAL lines, which is mean only the large stores carry em'. The one I was suppose to purchase was in MidValley but instead could not wait and got a pair at the Men's Dept@ISETAN, 1U when the opened their shops (fresh stocks). Sizes are VERY limited as they bring in only a small quantity to Malaysia. After 2 months of wearing my boots, I finally got a call from MidValley CLARKS that the color + size I wanted was available. So prepare to wait. Or shop around some stores. Fair warning: when researching about these boots, note that you need to get 1 size or 1/2 size smaller - it would be best to try one in the stores (which ever size that is available) so you can gauge which one fits. By then you can either choose to wait for stock or buy online! As any leather boots, it take time for them to break-in. So prepare for some aching feet and get good thick socks (ended up grabbing some Timberland Wool socks during sales few weeks back). Hope these tips help......... |

Hi Dar1en,
I bought it for about RM360 I think.... and unfortunately, they seemed to carry extremely limited colors and size (and that point of time they had the beeswax color but again I stress, VERY limited size). Best bet is to leave your name, number and size you are looking for (important !!! - go to shop to test the size!) and they will call u back. Hope you get ur boots, cos they rock! (please wear good socks) |

Does anyone have any idea where I might be able to find boots that look like this?
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Apparently these are Clarks boots, called the Desert Mali or something. I am looking for boots that look similar to these, with a sole that isn't too thick, as I would like to be able to wear them to the office as well as stuff my jeans in them on the weekend. Something with a thinner sole than say Dr. Marten's 1460, but something that's taller and has more eyelets than a desert boot basically. Any ideas? Something that I can find in KL and not have to order online. Took a little walk around pertama complex, couldn't really find something to my liking, though I didn't walk long enough. Red wing iron ranger's look good but i'm sorta trying to find something below that price if it's possible. Appreciate your help. This post has been edited by Fenrir7: Apr 13 2013, 05:49 PM |
