As far as I've read, I don't think there's any nerf in paralysis aside from electric Pokemons being immune to it. Move wise, I'm not sure.. since I haven't play it yet

Depend on your play style. Do you want to bulldoze to the end? Choose the strongest and plan your team to have each Pokemon that have super effective moves on your opponents (gym leaders, rivals and champion)

You could also go by whatever Pokemons you wish. Meaning, just go whichever you like. Cute, cool, terrifying, awesome or just their typing. Fire, Water.

It's good to have a flying Pokemon for quick transport. Water Pokemon that can learn either surf or waterfall. A dragon, since it's one of the strongest.. Not sure how they fare in this Gen.

Lol.. I can't say much as I haven't play it yet. But from my experience thats the way to go. I always bring the starter, a water pokemon, a flying pokemon, an electric pokemon, then the other pokemon depends on how to counter other trainer.

You need Poke Bank to transfer Pokemons from previous Gen which will be launched this December. So for now, you can't transfer it yet. There's 30 days trial for the Pokebank before you need to pay for its service.

But.. Only Pokemon can be transfered/transported.. If your Pokemons are holding items, it will be dropped into the inventory

nah don't be discouraged. It's not pointless as you can transfer your Pokemons from previous Gen. As for item, its been that way even in previous Gens.

Well, you can ask someone to upload it for you if you choose not to use the Poke Bank. Transfer your Pokemons to his 5th Gen game, he transfer it to his Poke Bank, get the Pokemons to his 6th Gen game and give them to you.

There's people who says its not region locked.. Saying its region locked after you choose the language and save your file.. But I wouldn't count on it.. Safest bet its region locked as some on Pokebeach said the game icon will show up, but it won't boot.

I started naming my Pokemon in Pokemon Heartgold.. I don't know why.. Maybe getting the same starter that I had years ago in Silver triggered a memory.. After all this time.. Always

So I ended up nicknaming all Pokemons ever since..

Milotic - Shiranui
Houndoum - Hellgaro, The japanese name
Chandelure - Wicky. Lol because its previous evo is named litwick
Umbreon - Hocus
Espeon - Pocus. lol..

As for X team.. I might name Fennekin.. Em.. Risako or whatever came to my mind later. But I was hoping to catch the two psychic cats and name them Hocus & Pocus again
