Hi guys.

Just wondering anybody playing Resident Evil 6? I just started and finished chapter 1 of Leon's campaign. How's everyone else?

Anybody registered at the RE.NET? What's it like?

Just opening a thread to discuss about this game. Who knows maybe one day can co-op.

The new babe is hot. tongue.gif

considering RE6 is severely lacking in content compared to RE5 and lower replay value

Well if you have the time, any game you can finish fast I guess.

I just play to know the story. Like watching movie and playing game at the same time.

its not that long either. You could finished it in 2-3 playthough. Each campaign is about 4-5hrs. Ada's campaign is rather short.

finished the game too, personally really enjoyed it. The chapters were long which is good and bad in some ways, sometimes it felt like it was too much puzzles and switches. Gotta finish it on professional now too.

grenade launcher does a pretty good job of doing the rocket launchers work. Costs the same as infinite magnum ammo i think.

If anyone wants to coop for professional, just add me:)

Let's go tonight maybe? I finished in Amateur difficulty, have all weapons, ∞ S&W500 magnum, ∞ MP5, ∞ Rocket Launcher. Just need white/brown/gold egg to get the achievement and someone that can help finish Veteran difficulty.

That's a lot of request blush.gif blush.gif

^ This. I welcome the ability to reload anytime while moving around, make it easier to avoid enemies, however the movement, the cover system is clunky. To me, it's more like the stupid cover system in Army of Two. I'll also wait for bargain bin, or if someone have it on sale cheap.

Yup true. The cover system is pretty bad. I can't tell if I'm already in cover (behind a wall) or not. And usually if we want to aim when in cover we would press LT but here you have to move your left stick and which is a bit confusing.

I still haven't finish though. Long way to go. Hehe. Only free to play on weekends.

it worst then the arcade. I actually played with random ppl on xbl, and 1 dude was stuck in the rope climbing QTE for 30 mins. I literally made some food and he was not done yet.

what i hate about RE6:
1. way too much scripted QTE, that is unavoidable or partner cant do anything.
2. no backtracking and exploration
3. no weapon upgrade/merchant instead they replace it with a perk system from RE:ORC. Kinda odd since the E3 demo did show weapon stats and upgrades for each weapon.
4. boss fight has no to limited strategy. It involves dealing (x) damage with any weapon and QTE.

Only prefer the mercenaries mode.

it was just underdeveloped. The cover mostly works, mainly because its designed based on existing RE5 MTframework engine that has never done any of this things.

Hehe. I'm not a major RE fan so the things that are seems problematic not really a major issue for me. It's still an issue but I have no previous reference to compare with since I've never played RE4 and RE5 I'm still playing, haven't finish. Hehe. I just play for the story. Like to watch the cinematics. smile.gif

Even though you're still playing RE5, you can see how different it is with RE6. Sheva in Disco suit = FTW!

Yeah I know. Can see the difference. RE5 is more "controllable". RE6 feels like the gameplay is "loose".

Both Sheva and Helena are hot. Hehe.

But it's gonna be annoying as hell. I once bought a brand new NFS: Most Wanted from a seller that have a shop in LowYat Plaza, without knowing it's the Japanese version. I only realize it when I'm in game when everything is Japanese. Oh bummer.

Seller didn't mention and I didn't take a good lock since the Japanese title is small under the English one, and worse, when I got it in my mail, I didn't even bother to read what's on the cover and rip open the shrink wrap. doh.gif He did know it's Japanese version and said all previous customers don't have problem with the game. doh.gif

its pretty much understandable
biohazard = localized version, japanese language
Resident evil = english/ for world consumer.

Althought the reason behind the title change is due to copyright protection.

i bought this game 2nd hand about a month ago...played it the day i received it and get bored after playing for 15 to 20 minutes and stop playing it.

one month later, tried give this game another chance and surprisingly it actually a very good game after getting used to the control mechanics. IMO, the shooting is
actually better than RE4 and 5 cause you can reload and shoot while moving. finished all 4 campaigns within a week, first on normal difficulty and second playthrough
on proffesional with infinite ammo and i really loved it.

cons:

- camera is too close to the character
- cover system doesn't really work so don't bother using it
- i'm fine with the QTE but really hate the QTE that require you to wiggle/spin the left analog controller in insane speed vmad.gif . this actually can broke the controller i think.

overall this game is enjoyable 3rd person shooter, i like it as much as i like the other 3rd person shooter the gears of war series and uncharted series. it is
more like an action adventure blockbuster summer movie than a horror survival.

if you like RE 5, you'll most likely to love this game as well....they are almost the same except that now you can shoot while moving around.

those complain about QTE, use both analog stick. You will see its alot faster. Generally i feel that the QTE design is a step forward in comparison with RE4/ RE5, however the way they implemented not so.

theres way too many scenes with scripted QTE that are total unavoidable.

the biggest disappointment i had with it, the mini/boss fights are unchallenging and it plays like a series of cutscene linking together.

no upgrade or merchant similar to RE4/5 is a huge detriment for someone who loves RE4/5

i agree with the mini/boss fights....in previous RE you must found out the weakness and certain strategy how to defeat the boss...in RE 6 is
all about dealing damage, the strategy quite simple, stock up ammo, avoid the boss attack and keep shooting until QTE come out.
they should make the boss fight more like the bosses in Dark Souls, so defeating the boss actually give you some satisfaction. and they should
also show the health meter of the bosses, so at least we know that we're doing it right and actually deal some damages.
