QUOTE(Baronic @ Oct 9 2012, 10:03 AM) i went to Langkawi recently with GlasT on my phone, and had sand on my finger tips didnt realise (or maybe sand in pocket) from the beach. scratched gashes so deep into the GlasT i could actually catch the scratch with my nails. wow, thxs for sharing the experience bro. coz i did try to scratch it with blade but it was resistant. GlasT is good. Just dont go to the beach with it. Sand owns ANY glass. I wouldnt bet on the Gorilla standing up to sand either also, it had 2 nature crack on the both top corner of the phone where i din bump it to anything. |

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Oct 9 2012, 10:46 AM) another possibility... telcos have no budget for Note II promo/ ads. everything's been diverted to iphone5. it is a possibility as having two major events by a telco on the same month can be 'silly'. so, between note 2 and iphone 5... no prizes for guessing which one gets sidelined. or apple has given telco some incentives to sell ip5 1st n i think, ip5 hype > note 2. |

QUOTE(RaveAramashi @ Oct 10 2012, 07:00 PM) Well we have Value First which is at RM30 so take that one + Internet Plan 1GB RM40 = RM78 per month. That one better than RM98 per month But this is only 1gb, then after that rm0.1/0.3 per 10mb? correct me if im wrong as im looking at maxis too as d coverage for digi is not well for me. and im looking to add in a supp + data plan as well.any advice for these combo? Principal + data plan & supp + data plan as well. the digi cost for my supp is same as what u mentioned for maxis. but at a lower speed n worst coverage. d only good is my ip4 plan which rm50 = data 1gb + call. QUOTE(mydragoon @ Oct 11 2012, 08:47 AM) personally, i could not be bothered on this post count thing... if there's a vote for it... i'll just vote to have it removed. it's useless and a waste of an extra table in the DB. +1 to this. post count was never the reason i put comment in a thread. information sharing and q&a is the main purpose.Added on October 11, 2012, 8:48 am One Utama... should have been 1U... easier to understand... heh heh... |

QUOTE(soulseeker6187 @ Oct 11 2012, 10:49 AM) FYI now umobile have a deal with maxis, when u go outside umobile coverage area, u will roam on maxis network 2G and 3G. previously with celcom only 2G. QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 11 2012, 10:49 AM) Right ! U Mobile only if you are always in their coverage areas Aite. Thxs for d useful information. I'll juz keep to opt for Maxis as i'll need to travel to Sabah, JB and mayb Terengganu in near future, where is isolated n nowhere near the City. If you are always on the move across the country , you will curse U Mobile . Especially when you need your phone for work related matters at that urgent time , you have poor 3G coverage and you are unable to download your email attachments or sent out - you will really start cursing than. Sometimes these type of issues could mean a sales loss of several hundred thousands In their covered areas , I must say theirs download speeds is more superior than Maxis I used Maxis as my main line as anyway i go in the country, even remote kampung in Pahang and east coast i always has 3G coverage - it has never failed me unlike Celcom while Digi is the worst consistency of good reception is more important than faster dl speed for me now QUOTE(vostro78 @ Oct 11 2012, 10:50 AM) simple, buy a umobile prepaid card at 7-11, subscribe the daily internet plan, test all the place u hang out often and check the speed test., currently umobile coverage = maxis as they share the infrastructure already. even at some city, umobile speed will b faster then maxis, mayb due to not much ppl using it so not that congested as maxis. thxs for d info, but i'll just kiv M for now so base on my few months experience with umobile, if maxis no line = umobile no line. if maxis speedtest 5Mbps, umobile will b either around the same, or much faster! QUOTE(mikecmy @ Oct 11 2012, 10:55 AM) you're in Klang Valley? nah, setapak. but will need to go outstation from time to time. n its nowhere near City at my co. site office So far at the major parts in Klang Valley is 90% covered i can say. Never seen my coverage drop to Edge so far (minus the upgrading days) |

QUOTE(nokia6280 @ Oct 11 2012, 02:12 PM) Buying such a expensive phone and not knowing what is Custom ROM and flashing? I can show u 10 person out of 10 using ip4/5 n sgs 3 that does not know what is sbsettings, jail break n custom rom.QUOTE(vostro78 @ Oct 11 2012, 02:13 PM) oh cant say like that also... known custom rom or not is not related with they want to spend for exp phone...totally diff things +1 only those user that wan to crave more from their devices will go to the extend to "break" their mobile phone 1st times. QUOTE(Dark Lord @ Oct 11 2012, 03:04 PM) Its time for me to change my phone and Samsung Galaxy Note II just comes in time. Yeah!! digi postpaid user for 6 years. now opting to change to maxis. Value first rm30 + 1gb data rm 48 = rm78. n i get supp line with family plus rm30 + 1gb data = rm78.Now I am waiting for digi package to get the phone with data plan. Or anyone have other suggestions other than digi? Cause I never use any data plan. So, I don't know which is good~ conclusion, My supp line paying the same amount, y not get a telco with better coverage? i'm done with digi after 6 yrs the only thing worry me is exceed usage of 1gb = rm0.30 per mb charges as u use. wondering if there is any app/ ways to stop using data after reach 1gb quota reason? hidden apps running using data this is from my perspective as i need a supp line as well. 2nd option will be u-mobile, but coverage at almost jungle area is my main concern. QUOTE(wkho555 @ Oct 11 2012, 03:16 PM) http://www.maxis.com.my/personal/android/A...sp#samsung_SIIIhere it state value first (RM30) or Value plus + Internet plan. http://maxis.com.my/personal/mobile/rate/p...p?iStruct=0:0:0 Refer to the table i dun un this plan http://maxis.com.my/internet/default.html?d=31 it states the calls pay as u use. then if i get N2 with the plan, i need to get Value first + data plan. does this mean, i can s8 get Internet value plan as my supp line but wont get the benefit of Family line (free call 15 hrs to principal and d sms)?? Added on October 11, 2012, 3:24 pm QUOTE(neo0915 @ Oct 11 2012, 03:18 PM) Actually u can monitor Data Usage in the Setting itself since ICS. Great. thxs for d apps example. I'm torn on setting up best plan when i port to maxis next mth. n d maxis postpaid plan is nvr good. Besides that, u can download 3rd party apps in the Play Store to monitor ur data usage & block the data if reached quota. For example, 3G Watchdog. Kinda feels like suddenly here become Kopitiam alrdy... lolx... peace... will go to KLCC ask for info n more detailed, but i ask here 1st as there's some forumer using maxis which can give better advice/ opinion than those sales executive This post has been edited by sai86: Oct 11 2012, 03:24 PM |

QUOTE(Bill2012 @ Oct 12 2012, 08:39 AM) thanks H3LLKEEPER, well, if u calculate correctly, u only pay the phone for rm1.4k.it is like no difference right if I buy rpp $2,300? plus i do not need to bind with 2 years contract.. i mean i have to pay 2k too now..haiz please advice again! thanks! Added on October 12, 2012, 8:40 am thanks for the info the additional rm600 is deductible on ur monthly bill, so u r paying in advance 1st. yes, telco is like this, no matter how, u need to pay around rm 2k. except maxis one club member iinm where they can get at rm599 but at a plan of rm98 + rm48(data). my thought, get 1 yr contract at most. 2 yrs is juz so suxs like me, wan to chg also cant unless pay penalty of rm500 iinm. Added on October 12, 2012, 8:51 am QUOTE(H3LLKEEPER @ Oct 12 2012, 08:44 AM) too bad they dun offer the previous IP4 package anymore. rm50 = data-1gb + talk time n sms.i'll say the best package value of all This post has been edited by sai86: Oct 12 2012, 08:51 AM |

QUOTE(hunter_fai @ Oct 12 2012, 04:43 PM) if u wan true ans. Maxis One Club member will get d lowest offer of all. IF u have this member. otherwise, as most speculate, digi might be d lowest. juz wait a few more days to let other telco to update their package. getting a set of SME/AP n get own data plan = is much better n flexible. |

QUOTE(Cynox @ Oct 12 2012, 05:11 PM) oic. Nope, the Maxis S3 MOC offer of RM599 need to sign up about RM148 monthly (call+data), can't remember exactly the proportion but definitely not RM50+RM48. But i am very sure they offer S3 for RM999 for RM30 value first + RM68 3GB data to those MOC member if they dun want to commit so much monthly - the exact same RM999 offer to those early birds who manage to snap up S3 on day 1 of the S3 launching. then it must be the rm148 she take. get her s3 n got stolen at Bangkok during her last day. apparently the theft use razor blade to cut through her bag. luckily, she bought insurance and compensate her back rm 550.So basically for Maxis S3 offer, unless you are really heavy users and sign up for RM148 monthly commitment, you get the same offer as other early birds. Just that you no need to camp for the S3 during the launch. its almost able to cover her cash value lost, but not s3 real value. now she's preparing to get note2 n juz can extend her contract to 2yrs from 1 yrs(s3) for me, rm98 call plan is juz overx10 my usage when i got co. phone using maxis value 80. |
