LTE... will cost more, of course.

anyway, just sharing what I know abt LTE thread... i had shared earlier on (i think in v1) a thread in LYN forum on LTE for MY. what i understand... LTE license will start to work only in 2013. meaning no rollout before that.

Maxis and Celcom infra is already LTE ready. Digi is the one that dun have such infra and that is why they are embarking on the upgrade (anyone in telco industry can verify this?!?)... i was a digi user till just 1 month back. i was hoping they would finish their upgrade by early 2013... so, if i tied up with a plan, i was hoping by the time uograde complete, there will be no longer the stupid speed cap... but when i looked at their progress (start date, completed so far and how much more to go)... it looked like they have been on this upgrade for close to 1 year. they only had about 50% progress. that meant another year to complete upgrade. it was something like end Q3 2013.

no doubt digi have got a very good data plan. but i want fast data. i dun wan throttled data... so i changed telco.

for this note... well, i dun think i'll need LTE version. if i remember correctly, we use the same frequencies as SG. current speed is good enough. but... if price is the same (we know this is next to impossible), then ya... why not LTE.

Save RM300 if buying AP thou can get more headache if got faulty or problem phone. The choice is yours

its just that samsung release it in that country, people buy there and bring back here to sell.. its the same..

Actually AP set is exactly the same as original, except few things:

1) warranty
2) language options
3) charger (3 pins vs 2 pins etc)

for Note2, i can say there's nothing to worry at the moment as the set is very new.

but for s3, please be careful as we ourself have detected some 'attempt of cheating' by the AP importer.. where they change the battery to a local one, thus the NFC cant work.

AP is no different to SME. Plus you save RM300. Can you use that money to invest a good casing and SP. Talk about faulty, you think SME no faulty? Yo think people never had issue claiming SME warranty?

Let me give you some pro and cons...

For AP, you are first adopter, save money, is considered ori set only in other country. Cons will be only 3mths warranty on LCD, accessories and battery...im not so sure about SME. AP warranty is 24mths like motherboard

For SME, they say one year warranty but dont know whether covers everything.....oh yea, u might get the star 6mths epaper subscription for free. Cons...pricing is bit high.

Whether to go for AP or SME, is a matter of choice. Due to the fact the device is awesome created so it really doesnt matter which you choose.

May I know before we purchase what are the things that we need to check besides warranty and Sirim sticker?

besides, I am in doubt whether I should sign up a data plan or purchase the device without plan.
If I sign up a data plan I really afraid that  telco may simply bill @ the end of month.
