ya, local sets will be whatever tech is available now. LTE can only start in 2013. even then, no idea if any network wants to start LTE on 1st jan itself... so no distri will wanna bring in LTE. not even sure if they can actually bring it in... maybe some regulations, etc...

but i wonder if AP distris can actually bring in LTE sets (maybe by accident?!?)... though i think LTE sets... ours should follow SG set (radio frequency should be the same/ similar).

manage to do 6972kbps download and 2240kbps upload yesterday night with my Tab 7.7. The fastest i tested to date. But i notice Maxis line not consistent - at the same spot, tested few times, speed can range from 1mbps plus to 4mbps plus. In comparison, DiGi is constantly at 1mbps plus a bit and stay at the same no matter how many times you run the speedtest.

Really? To me Umobile is the inconsistent one. I got 10mbps before at home and also tried having as low as 700kbps at the same spot before.

same goes in my hometown...... maxis is fast, but not consistent at all..... blue team and yellow team are consistent though...

my area umobile is vy good, so good until all the place that i normally need to base at got at least 6mbps... sometimes can get 10mbps

Comparing s3 and note 2, I seriously got to say that note 2 is winning by a little. Maybe self preference though

Note 2 thrumps highly over S3 on its battery life - easily double that of S3
Performance wise i'd say is marginal improvement
Buy it, if you need a bigger display and its S Pen features

to me, S3's screen is too small to be compared to Note 2, only Note 1 is the worthy comparison.

and also of display sharpness and quality. s3 using pentile matrix while note2 is RGBB.

launching is this Thursday!!! any insider news from any telco that might come up with bundle packages or any promo like they did during S3 launch???

surprisingly this time the celcos has still not yet leaked any bundled offers and launch date yet. Hopefully latest by Wednesday can confirm. Need to plan ahead to work on Thursday or Friday so that can camp at Maxis on launch day. But i think most likely launch date is Friday since Samsung is only officially launching it on Thursday evening.

Anyway, this is the first time Note series attracts me honestly. Quite impressed on that...I also got to agree on the performance. Besides the 2 gb ram, I don't see much difference except for the s Pen thingy...

yes, normally celcos' launch is the next day of official launch. But i just scare they may launch it on the same day, ie Thursday. Coz in JB, Maxis's stock normally sold out in Day 1, so must really camp for it.

At the moment I am very happy with my Note display. My other iP4 screen is just too small even though its retina.
Flipboard and web browsing is so much comfortable to read in my Note.

Each time I walk pass a S3 demo unit, I'll play with it. I notice the screen is crispier.
I wonder how does the Note 2 vs Note 1 display differ. A lot ?

I need to know wheather its ok if i don't use any screen protector on SGN 2
I thought its from Gorilla Glass 2 & it shud be scratch resistance
But i'm worried because of the S pen usage on Note

From my past experience using SGN 1 & Tab 7.7,
The protector only made the screen looks grey & not sharp enough as per the original screen

If ii is better for me to use screen protector for SGN 2
Which one is the best?
