as topic, act1 will drop legendary/set lvl61 or higher?
since now act3 easy to farm, evryone only farm act3

really? how many hours u farm in act 1 daily and farming method? confirm 1 day 1 natalya huh?

what i heard...and what i have experienced...set item n legendary item level were all put up to lvl63....therefore it will only drop on act3 n act4....
im intrigue by his statement though..

thats on 1.03.....not 1.04

as long as you set to MP1, the drop RATE for i63 is the SAME throughout all acts

same... i only get to play for a few hours every night, so i dont really get super nice drops, thus i'm super poor. Never had more than 15m in my stash. Always camped Act 1 since i can kill reasonably fast and not die as much.

hmm act1 still ok t0 farm i think, i got my lvl63 Legendary from act1 and green set from act2 so far

Best place to farm cuz u can increase the MP level and kill mobs that mobs slowly. well, at least most of them.

well i guess most ppl don't use real money to upgrade gear.. although most gear are bought from AH, but the gold i got is by selling legendary item found through farming.. so what you have to do is just farm more (make sure you have high MF)

another way to earn more gold is by doing AH flipping.. generally flippers has more gold than non-flippers.. but i don't do flipping because i rather get into game kill mobs than spending time understanding the d3 market.. don't forget you have to fight with bots too.. unless you made your own bot

I'm still stuck at killing the skeleton king in Act 1... can't kill him alone.

It easy to farm key after blizz patch 1.0.5 but after that it kinda hard to get 1. Got 11 key at act 3. But none on others.. Huhuhu..

hahaha i manage to get the key afterall yahoo... now going act 4 for the recipe....

the plan is easy for me, doing on mp2~mp5 act4, amost 9/10 run will give me the plan.
my pain is act2 key, mayb 20run only can get 1

Same case for me too, always short of Key of Hate. Reason being the warden is hard to find (he sumtime hide secluded spot/corner) and Oasis is pretty large n not straight forward to explore. Surplus of Key of Terror since usually do act3 run ending with warden (who is the easiest to find). While Key of Des also have extra due to every time getting stack for ubers will always look for warden as well.

On topic: every now n then i still do act1 farm (even whimsey) bcos the 1st n only item i was able to sell on GAH for 50M+ was found in Act1: Hall of Agony 2 .. a 94% CHD +660 Loh Shen Long Fist of Legend. That sale enabled me to gear up my WD (previously i was using a DH n struggling to do gear upgrades).

act1 is good for me too, i got my IK chest armor and IK boots from defiled cypt

I also farm in act 1, poor equipped barbs and not strong enough to act 2 or 3. cant even get act two through by myself. have to relies on public game.. just have to farm gold first then only see what can I buy from action house then..

do remember at least farm on mp1, bcoz mp1 and above@act1 can have same drop rate with act3, act4

but mob density wise, act 3 wins hands down.

In patch 1.0.5 :
• Affixes on items will now roll their level based on the level of the monster killed rather than the item's level (this applies to all items including random affixes on Legendary and set items)

Act 1 monster mostly are Lv 61 .
Act 3 monster mostly are Lv 63 .

Farming on act 3 have better chance to get great affix items .

After doin pretty much routine act1 key farm (festering & leoric manor for stacks > field of misery) i decided to re-visit Whimsey ystrday for a change of scenery. Furthermore i have a grudge against the ponies n teddy bears who bullied me kaw2 when i was a lowly geared DH so i went down the rainbow and its payback time ... muahaha. After 3 runs i finally dropped an Oculus, so i think its still worth it to farm Act 1.

ahh..good idea...been a long long time since i paid a visit to those teddies & ponnies...totally forgot about them when IM out.
