Another possible reason is your brake disc(s) might have warped. This is what happened to me, like you i tried watever i could do fix that, even went as far as changing my rims.

Do this only if you car is equipped with ABS...

Find a piece of empty road, drive up to say, 70~80km/h. Floor your brake pedal to the metal and see if your steering vibrates, if it does, then you've got to replace those brake discs
