My the new iPad still under warranty.
But unfortunately have minir dent at right lower corner, and very minor dent at right upper part.
Just recently noted there is few dust under the screen.
I wonder anyone have any chance to claim from warranty? Since my iPad have 2 minor dent.
Logically i dun think the dust can get in from the dented site.
Any idea how to discuss with apple?

Defects due to carelessness, accidents are not covered under Apple warranty. If it were, throngs of iPad users would've done it by now including me. IPad is easily succeptible to dents due to its soft aluminium body especially around the edges. There is an option to replace your iPad with a new set, but it will require a hefty sum of $1k++.

What happen to your ipad which u try to claim?

I didn't, but my mum did. Hers was so bad, the corners were badly dented and the mid section bent. Apple said hers was replaceable for a new set but will need to pay 1K pluss. My iPad has a dent in one corner, but since its still okay I didn't bother to check with Apple. Its just superficial anyway. Most time, it stay in my house.

i understand the chances is less, but still need to try.
i am wondering why apple service provider in malaysia reluctant to help.

I sent my dead iPad 2 to QCD last week. According to them, Apple won't accept exterior dents unless u bought Apple Care.

But even have apple care, also will have claim problem depend on which apple service provider you go.
I wonder when malaysia have a apple own store.

just got back my replacement ipad , also got dust under the screen, but at least now it is a smaller particle and at the side, previously was at the middle and kinda big

Nope my iPad didn't have any dents, just some minor scratches. You can try bringing to the service center to try warranty. The person there check my iPad for dents, scratches etc before accepting mine though

u buy from switch?

I buy from Senq, since now still under apple warranty, so i bring to apple service provider nearby which under switch.
if bring to Senq,will send to their KL service center which may take 2 week.
