Just purchased 2x Kingston 8GB DDR3 1600MHz at NOVA here in Taiwan. It's so hard to find other brands except Kingston and Transcend. Actually I wanted to buy Kingston Apple RAM but there's no stock everywhere, and I meant anywhere.

I'm surprised to see that it is able to run at the full 1600MHz on MBap 13' 2011. I thought it will downclock to 1333MHz.

I'm actually running memtest at the moment of writing this post. Testing for 2 runs now and so fall it passed all the test. Will let it run overnight and see how it turned out tomorrow. Cheers.

UPDATE: It passed all the tests, or at least the standard 2 pass. Unfortunately it is only able to test a portion of RAM (12GB) instead of the full 16GB since I'm running it on OS. Anyone know how to create a usb boot disk for memtestx86 (http://www.memtest.org) so that I can boot it before booting up the OS? P/S: I don't have any CD/DVD drive. sad.gif
