Both are similar in terms of performance 

GT640M is much better than GT630M
So do go for the Z480 if gaming if your priority

...whether a laptop lasts long or not depends very much on a little bit of luck (same goes to all electronic devices), and mostly on how well you take care of your laptop
Unless if its a business notebook, its very hard to tell which one will last longer, in which's case the warranty support would be a more important point for consideration 

Nah, it may be running on W7P but it does not feature most of the "specs" that other business notebooks offer
Its more like a "hybrid" machine, leaning more towards a consumer laptop

I guess matte surface and screen would be more important than having an aluminium casing for a business-based notebook?
