Your last requirement will not be possible unfortunately, most stock laptops don't come with that kind of configurations (there are not that much bays for a HDD + SSD +optical drive; and most are not light at all laugh.gif
At least no the current generation of 15" powerhouses laugh.gif
Perhaps these?
15.6"
Lenovo Ideapad Y580, i7-3610QM + Nvidia GTX660M (2GB) + (1920x1080) + Bluray@RM3599[JBL], 8GB, 1TB HDD(7200rpm), W7HP, backlit keyboard, 2 years international warranty

* use remaining budget to extend warranty to 3 years and either convert the optical drive to SSD/HDD, or replace the HDD with SSD

If this is stilll not good enough, then import a Sager, customize everything here: http://www.illegear.com/
15/6"
Sager
NP9130, i5-3210M + Nvidia GTX670M + (1920x1080)@RM4499, 8GB, 500GB(7200rpm), FreeDOS [CPU Options: i5-3210M - i7-3820QM]
*
BTW can u go to Digital Mall see whether got Y480 with GTX660M GPU and RM2999 price tag?
Currently my friend got see one but I think is she see wrongly...lol

Hi all, I'm looking a laptop:

1. Preferred Brand: No preference.
2. Budget: Maximum cap at RM2000
3. Usage: For college assignment and playing full HD movies.
4. Preferred laptop/screen size: At least 14 inch screen.

Thank you.

College assignment is too wide, give more info like doing which type of assignment(light like powerpoint, heavy like rendering)

Not familiar with AutoCAD laugh.gif
But Nvidia cards should be better supported (please correct me if I'm wrong sifus)  notworthy.gif

In terms of design and user-friendliness, that Samsung is a good one thumbup.gif
The processor is no match for any Intel processor (apart from Atom- this range of AMD APUs were built to compete with Atom anyway), but you do get long battery lives in return.  nod.gif

BTW for engineering rendering(dunno AutoCAD should consider or not), AMD would be better(See from GTX 680M vs HD7970M article)

The Dell Inspiron 14R SE wold be the best pick because of Dell's superb after sales service and also the faster HDD. But if you are not okay with the design, the Z480 would be a great choice as well.
Regardless of whether you opt for Dell or Lenovo, I would advice you to top up a little bit of money to extend warranty to 3 years onsite. it should be within your budget range if  you bargain   rclxms.gif

Thanks for the input  notworthy.gif
But I guess it doesn't matter much for mainstream and (weak) GPUs haha  laugh.gif

Well I think it got some related la... biggrin.gif
GT650M GDDR5 is almost half performance less than GTX 680M
Coz I got also do a benchmark test by using same software but in 1366x768 resolution
it get more or less same result with GTX 680M at 1920x1080 resolution

Yup, getting it from someone.

After I internet search for these two model and found the spec:
Asus K53-RIN5
i5-2450M
6GB RAM
750GB HDD
Intel HD 3000
15.6" screen

Acer GATEWAY NV-55S36U
AMD A6-3420M
4GB RAM
750GB HDD
AMD HD6520G
15.6" screen

For my opinion, Asus one got greater processing power while Acer one got greater graphic power, but still I'll choose the Asus one coz Intel HD3000 is not so far performance different with AMD HD6520G
