Any other suggestion? Prefer brand like asus or msi...
*
msi notebooks choice are quite limited to gaming series and they are overbudget, while the normal series are less and its pretty hard to get it at here.

as for ASUS A45VS-VX026H = RM2010

intel core i5 3210M
2GB DDR3 RAM
nvidia gt640M GDDR3
14" HD LED screen
500GB HDD
DVD-RW

other recommendations :

HP Pavilion G4-2XXXTX = RM2130

intel core i7 3612
4GB DDR3 RAM
ATI HD7670M 2GB GDDR3
14" HD LED screen
1TB HDD
DVD-RW

Dell Inspiron 15R 7520-61412G = RM2580

intel core i7 3612
4GB DDR3 RAM
ATI HD7730M 2GB GDDR3
15" HD LED screen
1TB HDD
DVD-RW

EDIT : i suggest to avoid ASUS if you are an impatient people, because ASUS warranty service is bad at malaysia.

Hey Bro, my budget just increase to 3k. Is it possible to get a laptop with SSD with that price?
*
possible but if you choose to get SSD, you will sacrifice storage because higher storage capacity SSD is expensive. my recommendation is that better stick with standard HDD.

AW has enduro or optimus, so please not to worry. biggrin.gif like i said earlier, only Illegear models like RS-17 and lower only have enduro or optimus, while RX-17 doesnt have it.

If AMD Enduro's performance issue on RS17 is bothering you which made you go for RX17 (which is supposed to be a laptop to support dual GPU), you can always choose Nvidia GTX680M on your RS17. The price you pay to get an AMD HD7970M on AW already can get you a RS17 running on GTX680M. Not to mention that you can even opt for the LCD matte screen (anti glare if you wanna call it) and an overkilled of 16GB RAM (good for video editing or run multiple VMs). Oh yea, RS17 also has blink blink keyboard if that is what fancy you too. smile.gif
*
i think he likes AW more than sager, as AW can customize the whole laptop lighting.

*
add some accessories as well. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

EDIT : im will be the same as you to go for the same AW laptop. look at my siggy and you will know why.

Added on December 25, 2012, 2:43 amIt was never worth it to upgrade to 32GB 1600Mhz through Dell, huh? Damn!! Rm2.6k for upgrading from 8GB to 32GB.. How much does it cost to get a 8Gb Ram?? icon_question.gif

EDIT: it's 2.8k!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! shocking.gif
EDIT2: or do you think I should buy from Dell???  rclxub.gif
*
add accessories like mouse, keyboard and the laptop bag upon purchase.

MERRY CHRISTMAS! rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif

no. never upgrade more than 8GB from dell if you dont want to waste money. the RAM can be added later to save money, just remember to choose the same spec as the RAM offered by dell.

also, its not recommended for you to upgrade more than 16GB if you just want to play games, do homework stuffs and simple multitasking. 32GB is for professional users like AutoCad those.

They gave free Orion bag upon purchase. Lmao. Is it good?
The price for dell to upgrade is too godly for SSD and ram. So, I guess I buy outside ba.. Single 240 GB Hyper X and 32 GB Ram. smile.gif was planning to use for hardcore gaming, maybe sometimes a little photoshop or illustrator.
*
not sure about the orion bag. depends on the material used, user comfort and size, the prices also tend to be different. if you know slappa, you definitely know the price of it.

1. Preferred Brand
No ideas, have been using Acer aspire4738 for 2.5years+.. so far so good, I'm okay with any other trusted brands as well.

2. Budget
max budget rm3000

3. Usage
MAIN priority : Photoshop stuffs, Designs, 3D/video rendering, animations.
(PS,AE,PP,3dsmax)
expectation (if possible) : smooth and lagless when doing previews for 3D and Video, rendering speed must be reasonable.. (not ultra-slow..). Able to multi-task.  Mostly will be using this laptop as my "main-workstation", not going to buy a pc due to immobility.

4. Preferred laptop/screen size
14.0" ~15.0"?
weight is not a problem..

might be buying on nxt year march, still in funding progress..
if got any 'coming soon' brand feel free to list down for me as well.. thank you very much!!! icon_question.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
this laptop will be my "partner/colleague" during my college/uni life until I graduate.. So I must not make a wrong decision...  shakehead.gif
