Its not exactly made for gaming, I would not recommend it for your case.
Here's a review on the unit: http://www.notebookcheck.net/Review-Acer-A...ok.82262.0.html

Ultrabooks are not powerful enough for your usage.
Go for the Y480, Y580 or anything with a quad core i7 instead nod.gif

You don't need an i7 processor for gaming nod.gif

lenovo

1. There will always be people supporting one brand or another. Ask a few more salesperson and you end up not buying anything because everybrand is "not nice" laugh.gif

HP's 15.6" notebooks are pretty overpriced with very weak specs at the moment, best to avoid.

The INspiron 14 aforementioned is running on an Ivy Bridge processor. Although its not a high end processor, its not weak at all brows.gif
Don't worry, it will be able to handle all those regular tasks that a normal user will do on a laptop.
You can consider upgrading the HDD to something faster after a few years, especially when the laptop starts to slow down.

As for delivery charges, it is mostly applicable to locations that are pretty isolated. As long as you're staying in or near a city, delivery is free nod.gif

Sifu, thanks for the useful info!

1. I've just placed my order and it's under "fast delivery" category, just cuious if the quality would be not as good as the rest as it is an in-stock - next day delivery product.... but sadly the estimated delivery day still takes a week - i wonder why!

2. erm... do I check the laptop on the spot upon the dispatch guy delivers the laptop?! If yes, do I check the functionality as you explained above?

3. Is there any thread I can refer to how to check whether laptop delivered is the one I ordered?!

Paiseh to ask so many questions as I really don't know much about all these ... TQ!

1. The next business day delivery thingy is kind of new, I'm not exactly sure how it works, sorry.

2. You will not be able to check on the spot since the Skynet delivery guy are only in charge of delivering the good to you. Even if there's a defect, you'll have to deal with Dell directly, not them nod.gif

3. Just check and make sure that the model name and the specifications are correct? hmm.gif
And of course, check to make sure that the laptop is functioning 100% laugh.gif
