QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Jan 28 2013, 03:38 AM) well, at most u just have to fork out RM300 for the police summon for "hilang kawalan kenderaan" since everything will be done by body repair workshop. repairing old cars are not as easy as you thinkunless, u want to fork out more for your aftermarket parts replacement. |

QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Jan 28 2013, 08:52 PM) 10k is the bare minimum. but theres market value to be taken into account (bout 5-6k) and then for old cars (of my age) the compensation is about 60%, thats about 3-4k maybe.repairs quotes i got is between 3-7k. take 7k cost and 3k insurance, i still have to fork out 4k to get my iswara up and running again |

QUOTE(cloudstrife07 @ Jan 28 2013, 11:24 PM) btw, they had to issue a letter for JPJ approval because chassis bengkok a bit, need straightening back, unless they give duit kopi to puspakom and insurance inspectors la the mech said in which is against my principle la. actually the jpj thing, the insurance/adjuster should already kaotim it already, duit kopi or not (i dont care about their methods, i only care about the end result, which is it getting done, whatever approvals needed)guess that's what they call "tin milo" though. lol. also, unless you have done welding (to straighten, as it weakens the structure, straighten, and then hardens.) be it straightening/joining broken parts, then jpj is needed. plain machinery straightening usually don't need tin milo as it may be, the accidents ive been into is more than my 1 hand can count. and ive been into worse accidents than the one i had at genting. (how dare they even try to convince me of total loss when previously no one ever mentioned the 2 words to me before) if you count the ones even before my direct ownership (was my mom's car), then i think even both arms also cant count the amount of accidents this car has been in. here's the thing, almost all of those accidents the occupants escaped unharmed. that genting accident? not even a bruise, no scratch, no bleeding nothing. i did a medical checkup, xray etc (the processing these days is like 2min, omg fast lol) and no broken bones or damaged organs. if i managed to spun TWICE (about 360 + a 180 facing opposite of traffic) to end up where the car ended up... you can easily tell that i wasn't slow either. AFAIK it was about 90+ km/h whacking a corner. and i escaped entirely un harmed i would have to think that the car is doing a damn fine job in keeping me well and i think it is the right thing to do to return the favor. and like we all know, the "right thing" is not always the smartest thing, but hey, i don't give a shit about that. |
