make a copy of your rom . . . .Extract it and search for system.ui . . . . Try to cut and paste it manually via root explorer .

But if u r on JB , starting up doesnt show status bar until u drag it down and clear all the notifications .

For better understanding , suggest u look thru the 1st page or try to google around . It's basically like gaining Administrator instead of Guest users on a windows pc . U have access to everything .

There is alot of roms which is hard 2 say what suits u . Different ppl got different requirements therefore , my best might not be other user's choice .
