QUOTE(nicregi @ Oct 4 2012, 09:54 PM) Malaysian one haven't out. if you want, try Poland one or any other custom roms. I dont have much experience in flashing custom ROM. Anyway, after backing up my stuffs, is this what I'm supposed to do?You have to wipe first and then update. You won't lose root cos Wanamlite is already rooted. 1) Boot into CWM Recovery Mode 2) Factory reset, clear cache and clear dalvik 3) Install the zip file from my card Is this right? |

I have 1 question, what is the difference between the 2:
1) Boot into recovery mode (power + home + volume up) then restore 2) Click the CWM recovery app and restore from there Are there the same? |

QUOTE(Porie @ Oct 5 2012, 11:36 AM) not the same. I still dont quite get it, sorry. Ok, I was planning to flash Wanamlite JB from my current Wanamlite ICS. First I would need to perform backup first. I see some forumers mentioned that we backup by booting into CWM recovery. But when I click the CWM app icon in my phone, there is also a Backup option. So there are not the same?boot in recovery mode is to flash via odin, usually using .tar or .md5 files, which is from the computer, or using mobile odin(paid app, use on the device itself ) CWM recovery is to flash on the phone, no need to computer, using .zip files place to your external sd card. most roms you need to install via CWM recovery, where as the stock rom you need to install using odin |

QUOTE(nicregi @ Oct 8 2012, 01:50 PM) Off phone, take out sd card. Boot CWM and clear cache and dalvik. Reboot and turn off back. Now fix back sd card. See if this works. Thanks, now I will need to observe for a few days. Another thing, how do I disable photo albums from my blog from being shown in my phone's photo gallery? |
