Coming from K800i and jumping into smartphone bandwagon especially Android platform is one steep learning curve for me lol. With all these bootloader, custom ROMS, kernels and all those stuff can make me go rclxub.gif

There is just so much to read that I feel at lost when I browse XDA forum doh.gif

BTW, just want to confirm, in order for me to flash to custom ROM, I have to root my phone with ODIN right? So that means I don't have to flash a new kernel right? Can leave it stock yeah?

That is what I plan to do. Explore first. I want to know what I am doing before actually doing it.

yes, new user are recomended to just enjoy android as it is, play with apps/games, when you feel bored and ready jump to root, after then jump to custom rom, root and custom room just optional thing,

you can still customize, make your phone beautiful and enjoy android without them

I don't know but I just love how much you can customize your Android phone to your own liking. There's just so much possibilities of doing it. lol

It's pretty cool that we can have all these mods to play with that can make the phone even more stable than stock.

There is no reason to root and put in custom ROM if you satisfy with stock. smile.gif

Well I consider myself as a geek. Not that I am thoroughly dissatisfied with the custom ROM, I just feel the need to personalize my phone XD

Besides, I'm into these kind of stuff.
