But how come some got higher ah??
*
SNR margin and Line attenuation case...some will need higher rate in achieve the 4mpbs speed.. Like me i'm getting 5112 downstream due to the SNR margin and Line attenuation is not stable.. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

1 more question , is that streamyx use for SHOP is expensive than Home user or there are about the same?
*
Yes, it's more expensive due to it's use for the business purpose while it will get a RM88 value of free call to all network with the bundle package like office in a box

Rm140 BB deal for home use de

Rm198 for my shop de, as shop cant register BB deal zzzzz , and is that different using soho vs streamyx?
*
there is no much different between soho and streamyx except the free call... streamyx bb deal is provided a unlimited free call to tm homeline aka fixed line while soho plan aka office in a box is provided a total of rm88 free call worth of value which can use to call tm fixed line or mobile line..there is the only different on it... biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

I have no problem with waiting. It's the service that really got in the nerve. Playing online with ps3 last night was so lagging. I try to ping to google but most of it it shows timeout or ping over 2000.  shakehead.gif
*
streamyx is not suitable for ps3 online gaming due to the upload speed and the line stability...confirm will get lagging most of the time or probably get delay as well... normal surfing or video streaming is good...but for ps3 not so suitable... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Well sir, what to do. Langkawi don't have unifi yet. That's why I have to settle with streamyx whether I like it or not.  smile.gif
*
i see...btw, it's will feel lagging and delay as well for ps3 due to it require a high uplink and downlink speed as well as a stable line... lately the service was so suck until keep dc or lagging as delay also for gaming.. mostly was with the wire itself or their port... if you really want to apply for the 4mpbs, you should check your copper line 1st by testing your adsl splitter is in good condition to filter out the noisy sound of the line...besides that you should make sure your house copper wire are in good condition as well for the 4mbps upgrading and it's within the area..if not you will NOT able to upgrade to the 4mpbs package .. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

im 4mbps user since day 1 i only get 3.5mpbs max until now  sad.gif
*
Sometimes it's depends on your location and area as well as those stupid tm porting .. SNR and line attenuation also can affect the max speed for it..like mine, before changing my old copper wire i only achieve 3.6mbps but after changing to a new copper wire, i can achieve 4.4mbps... rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

3.5mbps is consider a normal speed for streamyx 4mbps...if your speed constantly fall below 3mpbs then you can make a report to them..

I subscribed to the student package 2 years ago. I can get average of 3.5Mbps. After the two year contract, now I'm only getting average of 1.5Mbps. Sometimes it drops to 1Mbps or lesser and the line is not stable. Especially when I try to download torrent files using BitComet.

Complained to to TM, and the technician just say that the telephone line that was giving problem. Should I change all my new telephone line? The price is different for 4mbps now compared to what I was paying for before. sad.gif
*
Might be need to change your telephone line...check line attenuation value 1st....if more then 30db for dl/ul, then i suggest you change your telephone line... basically this problem will solve after you changing the wire.. but if still the same, complaint to TM rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Meaning that I can actually change the telephone line with/without the help of technician won't affect right? How do I check the line attenuation value?
Thanks for the help  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif  notworthy.gif
*
ya...but limited to your house only...don't try to change the pole line since it's TM property...you can just connect the pole wire with your house telephone line only....
For line attenuation, go login your modem homepage and it will shown at there by key in 192.168.1.1..username admin, password admin..

not on pole or underground...it's changing your house telephone line wire..we can't touch/changing those TM's pole wire and the underground wire since it's belongs to TM property and we may been sue if we make an amendment to their wire.. rclxms.gif rclxms.gif
