Is anyone getting almost static IP addresses?

btw, a little update. Just now was trying my luck and got full speed downloading from a bot, I don't know where its located though. So maybe its the international link with the problem on tm side? Or could it be my location? I'm in Kuching btw. Just a wild guess.

I mean if tm capped every port used for IRC 6660-7000, everything should be slow.

I would like to upgrade from 1mbps to 4mbps, what concern me only is about the stability. So far the 1mbps I am using is quite stable with only like 1dc per day. I don't mind if the 4mbps do not reach its maximum potential speed but i cannot stand if it dc frequently.  Is 4mbps stability same as 1mbps ?

I heard unifi is more stable than streamyx but I don't want to change my phone number and it has a download quota in it.

My friend's 4mbps can torrent up to 500kbps, is it because he is not using modem from TM?

i understand 4mbps can subscribe already. what are the processes for it ? must i go to normal 4mbps or can i just add on hypp tv ? need any new ports ?

my area ping not soo stable for me and i do frequent reset to the router..

which router will be the best for 4mbps?

I've been subscribing 4mb for so many years, gets only 4096kbps downstream, 3.5mbps on speedtest.

My nextdoor neighbour who knows nothing about comp and asked me to setup her router after she upgraded from 1mb to 4mb a few days ago gets 5120kbps downstream, over 4mbps speedtest.

FML, when I saw that ytday I was like, really? Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

i managed found one thing, yesterday i suddenly get full speed, i check is 118.xx.xx.xx ip address and state selangor while i am from kedah.

today dropped back and check ip is 219.xx.xx.xx and state is kedah. hmm...anyway can I connect with specify ipaddress? any setting or hardware setting?

Quite frankly these few years I have been mostly 24/7 under VPN service. The few times that I don't use VPN, the speed of web browsing is bad compare to using it.

Besides using VPN especially those that claim not to log you or just kept weekly log at most, gives me a peace of mind from big brother.

guys, is it just me or what. right now I can't seem to surf and load any website. page not found etc. keep refreshing still nothing. Its happened since the last 2 or 3 month. but at night until next morning without any problem. what's wrong actually ? annoying!

I'm from Kuching, Sarawak, upgraded to 4mb few weeks ago.

Streamyx speedometer always shows my speed about 2Mbps to 3Mbps, speed climb up slowly. If I test using speedtest.net, it shows me about 3.2Mbps to 4Mbps, ping is about 70ms to 90ms average. Wonder why speedtest.net can report higher speed than streamyx speedometer...

For the file download testing, I found out that if download file on single thread, can only get speed about 100kB/s to 200kB/s, hardly reach above 300kB/s. If download with multi-thread using download manager, speed can reach about 320kB/s to 450kB/s.

Anyone having similar experience? Is that considered normal?

Yea, i.dont use the tm modem rite now coz no strymx line... dis modem has bb mode beside fixed line mode....so I cn use celcom bb by pluggin in the usb wt bb...its tplink modem cn buy at it shop...
