I got 2 modem ant both of it shows  the same adsl reading...snr reading always jumping around..sometimes 30 and thn drop to 10.

technician came to my house several times already. and what they did reset port, change the connector at the telephone pole but the problem still persists..should I hire other thn TM technician?

yup, of course i will use it. Just not sure about flexibility to adjust wireless reception. My current modem wifi reception only enough for my house, i want new modem  cover my father house in 50 meter. And at same time, i want it wifi coverage limit also because my house near to school & shops. don't want hack by others

after using 4mbps for few months, sudden drop to 0.6mb.

the i call up and ask, few times.

now the answer being given is, they test, then say my line cant support 4mb, so they cancel it.

planning to upgrade my 1mbps line tomorrow. should i go for 4mbps or straight 8mbps (if available)? I heard 8mbps line got some connection problems.

8mbps only good for 1 user. more people use, more lag because the upload speed is limited. i wonder why screamyx must cap the upload speed at 512kbps. facepalm

hi guys, i just downgrade from unifi 10Mbps to streamyx 4Mbps due to port issue of unifi, and due to i just relocate too.

my area is bukit minyak with postcode 14000.
ystdy the techician came and install, and on the spot i tried using speedtest and i got 4Mbps download speed but 512Kbps upload speed.
(which is normal after i read a few pages in this thread)

however, the problem comes after dinner time, i kept getting limited connection,
1. i tried off the modem/router for 1 minute
2. login into 192.168.1.1 and sysreboot
3. in my pc, disconnect and reconnect

yet still the problem persists.

is this the normal "behaviour" of 4Mbps streamyx? or there is connection problem from tm pole to my house?

i try to get as much info as i can get before i call the vendor and complaint to tmpoint(where tmpoint will ask me do the 3 steps i mentioned above)

guys..  how do i access torrent site (piratebay / kickasstorrent ) with streamyx

since malaysia blocked these 2 major sites.

Hey guys. So I've just upgraded my streamyx from 1mbps to 4mbps with hypptv. So now when I test the speed using speedtest.net my download speed is only 1.7mbps. Is it because of the hypptv? I put the stb in standby mode when I run the speed test but it is still the same. Is it normal to be like this?

Wait.. Really im on 4mbps?? My dload speed still capped @ 100kbps.. Yesterday i go tm point ask upgrade to 4mbps, and within this week they will upgrade. But the problem is last time i alrdy asked for an upgrade, technician came say my line support but will not get full speed.. Quiet confused rite now.
