I tell you Astro Signal Quite Sensitive.
Only facing in one direction, last time my neighbour installing a awning knocked abit the Dish. Need move the Astro left right....

Btw, isn't there's Astro On The Go?

In order to DIY, get a reference point from your neighbours.
Then slow position until you hear clear speaking audio and video from your TV and done

Satellite is not WiFi , not so easy find one

It will only got signal when angle correct then baru fine tune.

You need accuracy to be inside 5 degree only, out of that range no signal.

angle is easy but elevation is freaking hard.

check if your lnb and decoder is even working properly.

Bro aluminium foil tu remove ok tak remove pun ok tapi mesti tak boleh bersentuh dengan dawai yang tengah.

for the dish positioning, 3 things you need to adjust: azimuth (arah kiri - kanan), elevation (dongak atas-bawah) and lnb skew (the bullet thing in front of the dish, need to pusing clockwise or counter clockwise after elevation and azimuth is correct).

go http://www.dishpointer.com/ , enter your location (can be your house gps coordinate), and for satellite choose 91.5E Measat 3. the site will output the elevation, azimuth and skew degree for your place.

for azimuth, use compass for example in kl this is the value from dishpointer:

Turn clockwise standing behind the dish

for azimuth, pakai compass pusing sampai dapat bearing 253.4 tu. can use normal compass or digital compass from smartphone. that is where your dish should be pointing to.

for elevation (dongakan), check under the dish, there will be a scale 60, 70 ..... until 90. adjust according the value that you got from dishpointer.

lnb skew - on top of lnb there will be a arrow mark. 0 degree is when the mark is at the top and the cable connector is at the bottom. for 72.8 degree, to arrow mark will be somewhere in between 2 to 3 o' clock

i oledi got all those..jus wondering about that thin layer only...some said cannot remove...

or else wont get any signal...which currently im having problem with

Once you get the hang of it... it takes only <10 seconds to get signal...

dude ,....just roughly aim same direction as per other dish....then go setting or setup and look to display the signal strenght ...if >70 green bar means ok.

the problem is...0 from yesterday..doesnt matter which direction i turn d dish..

get a multimeter and test ur coaxial cable ...check connectivity and also make sure core is not shorted to ground. Check also your LNB is properly attached to the dish.
