str or Armor more important?

im a DH, current armor 3826, AR around 400, DPS 56K with SS, 46K life

or forget about both, concentrate on Dex?

I would choose Armor in priority vs str. Reason? There are items with +300 armor in reasonable price but items with +300str cost a bomb.

definitely strength, because some bows are heavy, so DH need strength to carry a heavy bow to aim

I would chose Armor as well, as mentioned by Yuhhaur str stuff +200 above cost a bomb.
If you dont mind me saying this... You have some nice gears....just that you kinda mixed up (rojak) most things up. YOu have high Dex +Vit but low Crit Damage/ASI which is negates the effect of Sharpshooter. If I am you, I will dump both rings and go with some +CD/ASI/Damage range rings. You can drop some Vit in exchnage for some DPS.

Ideally with SS with a 2Hxbow, you should be looking at 100k at least and not 65k. Hope you dont mind I nosing on your build...its your build if you have fun ..I approve!!

agreed cz you see, DH so skinny for both male and female. Need to bring quiver some more. So strength is important.

Unless your character is a barb, there is no extra benefit to pile up on str attribute that armor can also provides.

IMO, for DH, 56K DPS with SS is not exactly good.
You need to improve that. Try to get 50K DPS without SS.

I have seen many DH with high damage (100K without SS). But they are KOed after 1-2 hits by white mobs.
What's the point?
These DHs will need a total revamp of gears in patch 105. Waste of money and effort.

Go for a balance build.
i.e. you need adequate life recovery (LOH/LS) so that you can ignore any reflect damage
i.e. you need adequate damage.
i.e. you need 500AR + 4000armor (with the gears like Vile Ward, it is EXTREMELY easy to get high AR and armor).
i.e. you need at least 40K of HP.
It is a safest best to go for a balance build.
You have plenty of selections of gears at AH now. It is very easy to obtain such stats.

500AR +4k Armor is ideal. At least can take 2 hits from phasebeat. LoH is necessary if your DPS is low, LS will be better once your DPS exceed 100k. IMHO 40k life is a bit too much. I run with 32k life with 500AR/4k Armor and its fine 70k DPS no SS, extra Disc helps alot. Gloom/Smoke Screen is essential

Just a tip, go look for Manticore at AH.
Extremely cheap.

I just bought another Manticore with 771 LOH & 2.9% LOH for 8.99m.
A faster 2H crossbow. Extremely cheap and awesome item for life recovery.
Decent damage (for my build, 70K without SS / 160K with SS).
(Note: If you want both LOH & LS, you can only get a single slot Manticore)

P/S My build is not godly. But it is good enough for me to farm in A3/A4.
I can easily dish out 120K-150K damage.

Looks like our DH in same class..except mine is dual Handbows, Dannetta's. Invested too much liao on them so dont think can go back to manticore...

aleune can gear all 5 chars.

Haha, many Real DH now oledi got 150k to 200k without ss. It's so normal in patch 1.0.4. So mine is ok ok nia... Bro.

yeah i'm on 78k with no SS and i'm considered not bad d. but very little res so gotta kite like hell.

me only 50k but without ss archery and steady aim . mf 200..

very hard to upgrade... so poor no nice drops... now saving for andariel visage with socket
