Skyrim here Skyrim there. My PS3 system hung on me when a Dragon came and attacked me once I finished a side quest. Sad...

I'm currently at Soltheim and those "ash guys" are pain in the arse!

Taken from Lowyat.NET front page...

In a recent conversation with X-bit labs, an executive from Seagate has revealed that the renowned hard disk drives manufacturer is planning to stop producing 7200RPM 2.5-inch notebook hard drive very soon. In fact, it will take place right at the end of this year, says David Burks, the director of marketing and product management at Seagate.

The reason behind the move is said due to the shift of demand from the mainstream market who now prefer other form of products such as solid-state hybrid drives (SSHD). Additionally, the company also hoped that the move will help stimulate customers into adapting to SSHD. That being said, it will take a while before Seagate is completely out of the picture though as X-bit has pointed out that there will be a lot of stocks around to fulfil demands from users.

Additionally, the company will continue to produce 5400RPM notebook hard drive for the budget segment of the market.

Can PlayStation3 supports this? hmm.gif

ps3 dont use hdd from seagate i think, japs always support japs, mine is toshiba drive if not mistaken or hitachi ...either way it makes no effect to ps3 gamers as 7200rpm only produce more heat and no speed different for ps3 use...

There's no significant difference between 7,200RPM vs. 5,400RPM. I'm curious with how is hybrid SSD works. Anyway, we are lucky that Sony lets us swap our HDD in the PS3 system. blush.gif

Anyone playing Tomb Raider? Thought of getting one copy from cuteburger these few days. laugh.gif

for ps3 lah. very little different, unless u hack ur ps3 run pirated iso games then maybe games like GT5 install faster and load faster, but very little different also...

SSD like the name runs on solid memory , like ram ,no moving parts, so it loads significantly faster ... and close to no heat... but i heard it has shorter lifespan of read/write purpose...

either way its too expensive still to try imho, i rather invest in cheaper and large size platter hardisk...

Plug in your external HDD. Press back-up data by selecting your external HDD. You should have the option to do so if done correctly. Maybe you can view some of the videos available in Youtube. laugh.gif
