Lucky enough to try out my cousin's Phantom 3 Standard a few weeks ago. This semi-autonomous beast is pretty darn impressive really . Video quality is beautifully stabilized(and visually sweet) and FPV transmission is relatively smooth as well despite using Wi-Fi and not 5.8Ghz. Telemetry via smartphone is really useful as well.
I have to admit I was a nervous wreck when flying the darn thing even though I have been flying for 2 years now, could be because it's a Phantom and it doesn't belong to me though the FPV helped a bit. Did some flying around, tilting the gimbal and taking a few photos is pretty much what I did during the flight. Everything went fine, quad was rock solid in the air in Position & Altitude Hold and can do some cool stuff like Follow me and Orbit mode. Didn't try RTH though due to limited space and fear of flyaway
Got some beauty shots of the bird but no video unfortunately because my phone was low in battery at the time.

Really tempting, I wonder if RTH has a preset altitude and how it works, or it will hold the current altitude during RTH? try from a open field perhaps?
