thanks... and wah... 8AA batteries?!? yikes... what's the diff with th9x besides the extra channels? anyway, i'll probably google as well. got it.
well... i'm still very new so not sure if i wanna invest that much. but if i do, any website that sells just the drone (without the transmitter)? coz thinking if i do get, i dun wanna have so many bundled TX lying around at home. can also save $$$.
Just get TH9x (Turnigy 9x@Flysky 9x) because its best affordable and also pro-level since it was build by open source hardware. This transmitter will last you another 5~8 years and able to add-on technology upgrades. This transmitter can "grow" as you progress higher by using software upgrades and community mods.
This radio have huge community base mods, I have flown with this radio for 12km with home upgrades. This radio support 4-9ch receiver from hobby king, Flysky, Turnigy and RICCS. RM250-300 is cheaper than RM1000/+ Futaba or Walkera. Btw i got 3x set of TH9x/TGY9x.

Here are bunch of my active 9X transmitter from first to second generation 9X series. Total of 6x unit. 3x TURNIGY/FLYSKY 9X (1st generation) 3x TURNIGY 9XR (2nd generration) Internally both generation have same hardware inside just the cosmetic outlook is different and firmware is upgraded in 9XR.

How to bind transmitter to those quads and what kind of quads supported?
not the cheaper toy grade quads, but the higher end ones or a diy one. it depends on the control board used. those tx have their own compatible rx that you need to attach to the control board.

oh, so i can just go out and grab the FlySky TX and use it to control... say my SYMA X5C? <-- didn't go check to see if the board is compatible or not, though... but i hope u get my point.

using the default board, not likely. X5C and other cheap quads are not hobby grade flyers. so most of the stuff are build-in, to keep cost low. if you can't remove the default rx from the board, then you can't attach a new one. similar concept to: if you want to upgrade your PC's CPU, you need to be able to remove the old one.

hmmm... then when SupermotoXL fly those lishitoys and also that ladybug... using bundled TX or the FlySky? meaning he need to mod the ladybug board?
hmmm... lemme go check back his blog and see if i can find anything...

by my understanding, if he uses the flysky tx on the lady bug, then yes he needs to be able to attach the flysky(or compatible) rx on the board. note i say 'compatible'. some of these cheap boards does use rx that are compatible to hobby grade tx(you need to check board specs for this info). if i'm not mistaken, the v911's rx is compatible to some 9-ch tx. don't remember which one though.

i see... hoping to get some confirmation from him on this... esepcially for the lishitoys once since he said in his blog that he's planning to use this to replace the ladybug. coz if that's the case, and if i do wanna invest more in this hobby, i'll probably wanna follow what he does. easier...

Hey i'm back...was busy flying and blogging another quad into my website.
Btw for L6052 i intend to use original controller not using 9X transmitter, just keep it simple and fun for future FPV setup because the original controller still reliable. If you intend to use Turnigy/Flysky 9X transmitter on bunch of bugs usually some manufacturer build special radio transmitter that you can hook to your 9X radio for immediate binding to non-standard toy quadcopter for example this one : http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/store/_..._Bot_Micro.html
I'm still gathering some FPV item to convert L6052, so far nano video transmitter just arrived, just waiting for camera.
