Lost site of the plane in my first attempt and saw it coming back down in a death spiral. Manage to get it back up with some elevator and throttle.
This is my second attempt... Rain clouds are heavier and so they are the lowest clouds...

Trying to reach the clouds again.
Reach a thick layer of smog instead. Just shows how polluted the city air is... Flew with the Hobbyking T1000FC with GPS, in Return To Home and Alttitude and Latitude hold mode only. Practising on low flying Caution, noob flying... |

QUOTE(jovial @ May 6 2014, 05:51 PM) From PJ. For me, I would recommend a glider pusher plane. So that even if you crash you won't damage the propeller.Currently looking at a foam plane. At least won't damage much if drop rite? What is recommend as a beginner plane? Where can fly around here? Learn how to repair foam planes and they will last a hundred crashes. A lot of video on youtube teaches... My recommendation, AXN floater ![]() Still flying it... A lot of hidden carbon rods reinforcement This post has been edited by radver: May 7 2014, 05:28 PM |

Amcorp mall "RC Smart", go google them...
http://www.rcsmart.com.my/ Try a simulator, available on Android phone. "RC Simulator" I advice you to play on mode 1 for the controller I'm flying in Klang, can't help you there unless you willing to come here... Can sell you my beginner Flysky 4 channel radio for cheap also if you want... This post has been edited by radver: May 10 2014, 09:23 AM |

Frsky is the way to go...
Got range... Got stability... Cheap for such a good system... I'm using FSTH9X + Frsky module + Open 9X, best system ever... But with a few hundred bucks you can get a Taranis... For the price, I feel its more of a intermediate to advance system. If your not flying around urban areas, got place to fly like open fields, with the nearest house 2 to 3km away, then even Flysky system will be enough for beginner. But if flying in a field surrounded by houses or building, Frsky is the way to go... More option to expand also if you want telemetry in the future. Finally got my hands on the Fatshark Predator V2 googles 5.8 Ghz, paired with hobbyking cloverleave antenna Got around 2km range at Setia area, because less populated so less electronic interference. At my other flying site which is densely populated I only got about 500 meter plus range for the video signal. My 4th FPV flight, flew too close to the building and people at 5:00, lesson learned. Nearly crashed into the tower crane. Never going to fly so near anymore... |
