How can you see it from that high,is the X4 the H107D FPV model and you are flying it by viewing the screen?A slight gust of wind can send it all the way to Singapore if you're not careful. tongue.gif

I'm flying when I'm at the playground area... Only have the H107L to practice... Usually try to fly when there is less wind... But quite hard as the pool/playground area is 150m high from sea level... sweat.gif sweat.gif sweat.gif

That's why looking for another quad that's good to fly in windy situation...

Guy I plan to start RCing again.

Used to have race cars, forklift, usb rc, mini rc, and so on.

This time want to go for flying stuff.
Preferably Heli/Drone, coz they able to fly static and require less space.

Budget around RM200, what do you guys reckon?
*
Recommended. Bayangtoys X9 for beginners. Cheap also...

can tell me more about drone vs heli?

btw, its real affordable but battery last 5/6/7 min only? unsure.gif

The X9 is a good beginner's quad...

Read more here: http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2446608

The battery only 150mAh, get a few batteries...

Anyway I'm not sure about the difference about wuad vs heli as I also just started playing with quads only. My first quad was the Hubsan X4 H107L and FQ777-124 Pocket Drone...

Now flying my Nihui U807. Got the XK X250 and MJX X600 on the way from banggood or gearbest...

It depends. 3-6 weeks to reach. But it does reach you in the end.

Hi guys,

I'm wondering whether cx10 with xiaoyi action can attached is stable when there is strong wind. I plan to take some area footage during my skiing trip. I have not purchase the cx10 or the action cam yet. Since im not that into rc for long period so Im searching for very low budget quad which allow me to take aerial footage. Is it possible?

Thanks~~
*
Don't think CX-10 can carry a Xiaoyi action cam... Do you mean CX-20?

Is Hubsan a brand any good? How is it compared to Syma?

Purpose is to get a "cheap" and usable to learn about Drones (hardware) and if really interested, learn how to DIY/Upgrade/Build a better drone...
*
Another good quad for beginners is Bayangtoys X9

I received my Hubsan X4 (from China) yesterday.
Anybody in Kuala Terengganu who Quads?

I wanna see how an "experience" person flies.....

Question: With the tiniest of wind, I can see the drone drift.... does this happen even on the bigger (and more expensive) drones? Or the expensive drones has a better sensor and computer that compensates and keeps it at a fixed spot?

Because I have seen some videos from the Phantom, and noticed that they stay stationery at a certain height and doesn't move left or right.... Is this computer assisted/compensated or human controlled?
*
The phantom have a on board computer doing all the adjustment to stay in the same spot until new instructions given.

The X4 cost rm200+- vs phantom which cost rm5k+- whistling.gif whistling.gif whistling.gif

Yah, X4 about 30 USD of course cannot compare Go Kart with Bugatti Veron....

So, you saying that the onboard computer uses some Gyro to stabilize the drone in all axis including height?

I have trouble keeping my drone hovering at a certain height.... lol... no wonder those training videos looks so easy, got autopilot to help

Question: Is the bigger drone more stable when you fly, when compared to the small one? For example, the kancil travelling at 140kmh, feels not stable, but a BMW at 180kmh feels planted to the ground.... is a bigger heavier drone the same.... or a bigger drone is actually more difficult to fly, but all the onboard computers helps it  so it "feels" easier to fly

Or is it because it has bigger propeller and bigger wingspan, it is more stable?

Sorry for NOOB questions
*
Actually depends on the quads and the person flying...

I also own Hubsan X4 H107L and I watch this guys video flying the X4...

Actually all I am trying to do is to get the X4 to hover at 4 feet off the ground within a 2 feet radius....
Controlling it within the 2 feet radius is ok la... keep adjusting only....

However I cant get it to hover at  the same height... it keeps going up... or coming down... like yo-yo
*
You'll need to adjust the trim on the controller... Can adjust till it stays in a spot... Seen ppl do it in the videos for X4...

House too small to play la.. plus got 2 dogs trying to destroy my Quad.

In another words, any other expensive quad that I buy would be easier to fly than my cheap Quad la...

Walkera as a brand ok? Their FPV damn cool looking
*
You can do like me... Go to a basketball court or small field to fly when no one is using... The X4 can fly in some wind... Practice flying small till confident can fly something expensive...
