Now I had a Deadcat 450 Quad build as above.
Spec:
2212 980kv
cheapo 2 blade 1045
3s 5200mah
Naza Lite-M
Radiolink AT9

And I notice this craft are heavy wobble when I rotate the craft (of course in air).
I know when landing craft hitting its own propwash will cause that, but rotate direction I don think will.

Two weeks ago, when I flying. It sudden wobble crash to ground ( i think only 2~3 meter from ground, testing flight) And after event I cant see / detect any wrong. So I make it air again, and it hovering 10~15 seconds normal, and it wobble crash again.
I call that no/minor damage, and I fly and hover it last sunday about 15minute (got landing) it work well....quite strange(i set gain to all 100%,minor wobble still there)

Any I got the idea to get few RCT800 arm from RCTimer make my Deadcat style to 800..will it work well? (not talking motor yet)

Or I should get F550 center plate + 800 arm + 500~600kv 3s pre-solder motor + 13~16inch props?

Thats my idea, please give the suggestion. thank you

Sound like "PID" problem. Did you already adjust the Yaw gain? or did you already calibrated each ESC throttle end point?

Glad you enjoy it. That reminds me of my old days chasing those guys with my AXN glider like in my old video below, those days were fun before quad racing was around.

li-ion has lower discharge rate than lipo..by a lot. it's usable with winged flyer, as the motor doesn't draw too much current too fast. won't work too well with rotor-ed flyer as these types of flyer draws a lot of current quickly to create lift and thrust at the same time. in summary:
planes/gliders/fixed wing: can work with li-ion if you are not too aggressive with the throttle
heli/multi rotor: won't work too well. throttle will be sluggish at best.

should work, but please get a reliable high discharge li-ion, for safety. samsung/panasonic/sony are good ones. not those lousy ultrafires. do note though that 3 piece of high discharge li-ions are more expensive than a 3-cell lipo. cost wise. you can easily get these high discharge li-ions in vape stores. 20-35A is pretty easy to find.

SupermotoXL did share how he connects the batts together some pages back. that will help you get the general idea. nod.gif

from my own experience, both li-ion & lipo will get the motors to the same max speed(volt), but lipos will get you there quicker(C rating). also in load bearing circuits, lipos will be able to handle better load since C rate X capacity(in Ah) = max Amp.

*see, i've learn a lot of electronics mumbo-jumbo from this hobby laugh.gif .

Video - My 72.6km flight with storm and heavy rains.
You guys wanna see mini UAV wing wing Z-84 in such extreme condition?. No other plane would able to survive this one! Flown with electronic flooded with rain water but manage to survive mother nature ultimate fury. Seeing is believing. I'm proud of my mini UAV plane. Yes the plane still alive today after 4 days of drying under the hot sun.

My max discharge for Li-On pack which is now in 4s pack is 1.3A. Actually it can max up to 10A for 3 seconds but recommended for constant throttle is at 3A below. But for me i'd rather go lower for longer endurance. Li-On doesn't like punchy demand unlike Li-po.
