a multi-rotor would only need 4 channel TX/RX for normal flight, right? so my plan of transferring the FPV electronics to a quad someday is pretty much "on the right path"?

just got the fpv400 after work. quite a surprise how heavy it is. it's slightly larger than a honey bee(300 vs 400) but it's more than twice the weight.  seems like walkera intended it to be heavy. with some metal bars that i dont see a use for. i imagined although it may not be able to fight some wind, it wont be thrown off by it so easily either.

good camera mount, no wobble at all. got through some indoor maiden flight, video looks good. will post some pics later.

i have a question about tx battery.

spec says it can take 7.4v 800mAH 15c lipo. i went to an RC shop the other day and i see an 850mAH 20c 7.4v lipo. i wanted to buy that but the shop guy said it can burn off the tx. my understanding of electronics is that the "circuit draws power from the battery", the battery does not "push" the power. what do you guys think?

(me, i secretly think the shop guy dont know what he's talking about , but never hurt to confirm  )

the devo f4 sucks AA like nobody's business. i'm on my 2nd sets of alkaline. flight time of the fpv400 is less than an hour(+ some setup time). 

man, flying fpv is hard  . how do you budget the space your flyer needs to avoid crashing the blade, practice? does getting a wide lense adapter really helps?

luckily 380 motors are not too hard to find (lots of walkera's stuff use it).

from my own experience, making sure the motors dont heat up too much will prolonged its life. so rule of thumbs with brushed motors, limit flight time & use heat sinks where possible.

turns out, you can discharge a multipack lipo via the balance plug, for a low current draw circuit. now i know why batteries like this:

i was under the impression the discharge & charge plug are for its specific purpose only. never really knew they were wired almost the same way.

Hi asking any situ help here. I have problem trimming my quad...doesn't seem to be able to trim it perfectly so that it hover without leaning to any sides.
And I have a camera but I have no idea which is the phot and which is the videos. So for now I'm just flying it around without taking anything hahaha.
And finally I'm flying it around but I have no idea what's the battery condition. Like today I was flying it quite far ...for the first time and I was afraid I couldn't control it and flew it back and landed it. Then it wouldn't fly anyway and it flashes a few time indicating that there is no battery left. I mean how can I see it in the controller? Tx?

I'm flying a Wltoys v262 quadcopter. I remember seeing somewhere the control for the picture and video but no idea. Can anyone help me? And the trimming issue too
